Dunno how anyone does this in person. i expect that they typically look at the letter behind the name and just cross it off like a normal human being turns out too many choices at the same time simply makes the act of choosing less meaningful and the decision maker much less discerning

jesus christ the more i learn about american 'democracy' the more dispirited i get presumably the hope is that most people will either not vote or vote randomly so that the people who actually care are heard. in practice, i imagine that location on the physical ballot matters a lot in these cases

look i'm there all day for the idea that objectivity and apolitical interpretation is an illusion, but on the other hand the US has the most dysfunctional judicial system I know of amongst advanced developed countries
