I used to browse /m/ (mecha - think Gundams and general robot stuff) a lot because I had anime disease. But then I realized 99.9% of anime is garbage and all of the mecha series went to hell creatively. About this time it also became difficult to post non-Japanese content (WH40k, Mechwarrior, MCU Ironman, etc) without the thread getting poo poo up with "Not Japanese, not /m/!" posts and/or thousand word rants about how inferior "Western'" mech designs were to Glorious Nippon mecha. Bonus points for the idiots who kept starting arguments about how 20 meter tall humanoid robots would eventually be possible in real life and would totally dominate conventional combat vehicles. Lets not even get started on what happened to the guns/weapons/military equipment board /k/.

How GG went down made that pretty clear forever ago, and I think moot realized that which is why he cashed out.

This sounds like a great idea. I'm sure advertisers will never notice that the clean and wholesome 4channel.org is owned, run, and operated by, and part of, the same site as the notorious white supremacist website 4chan.org and so will be happy and ready to advertise on it.
