To A Brand New Galaxy
Started watching a month ago, reading the thread in chunks as I finished each season. Finished it tonight, immediately came to read the last... uh, 817 posts since the season 5 start. Kinda surprised at the conflicted reactions from many posters to the end, but oh well. I see some others are also still watching so I'll just dump thoughts I'm bursting to get out in a big ol' black box.

I spent most of the series yelling in my head "TELL HER YOU LOVE HER YOU DICK" at Catra. Her line in the second-last episode, "Adora doesn't want me, not like I want her" absolutely crushed me. I actually already saw the big gay rainbow magic kiss on twitter before I watched the show at all, but even knowing how it'd end I still felt every bit of their confused, angst-ridden friendship, rivalry and eventual romance. I absolutely buy them together, I absolutely buy this being the start of Catra's redemption, and I absolutely want a follow-up one-off episode showing us Scorpia's future princess ball in full so Adora and Catra can have a proper dance.
(And even though I knew it was coming, I still double-fist-pumped and shouted a big ol' "YES" at The Kiss.)

I wish this Entrapta had been on my TV when I was a kid. Scorpia, too. I hadn't seen or heard anything about these versions of Entrapta or Scorpia prior to watching, unlike Catradora, and I'm glad I got to experience them without any expectations. Many of their quieter character moments really resonated with me and I hope a lot of kids get to see these characters, not just us alleged-adults. They don't have the most mass appeal but for some kids out there, those two are going to be really important and stick with them.

I adore Mermista, too. Bit miffed she didn't get more screen time in season 5. This series does have the problem of having quite a large cast and most of that supporting cast being more engaging than the main hero and villain. I'd have liked this to have gone to at least six seasons; add another dozen episodes somewhere in the middle, so more characters could get feature episodes. Most variations of "[character-of-the-week] tries to corral Entrapta" would be grand.

The reveal that Razz is slipping back-and-forth through time was wonderful and the whole pie episode is probably the best, even though it's the lightest on laughs. Not an absolutely original concept, but wonderfully executed.

Prime/Hordak's voice actor should be handed all the awards for that last season.

It was right at the start, but I'm still not over Entrapta dropping "hack the planet!".

My nieces and nephews are all just a fraction too young for this right now, but this time next year I will make sure I have the blurays on hand ready to go.

I think I missed that...?
In 'Remember', Razz says "this has all happened before. I remember it like it was yesterday – for Madame Razz it was yesterday", which sounds like her usual confused rambling, which up until that point is only shown as her talking about the past as if it is the present. (Plus there's the portal exacerbating everyone's memories at that time.) But in the opening of 'Hero' she calls Mara 'Adora', who (in everyone else's timeline) Razz won't meet for another thousand years, showing us that she's not just confusing Adora and the present time with past events, but was also in the past confusing then-present events and people with the future. So when she said that long-past experiences were "yesterday", she wasn't just confused or affected by the portal; for her these things literally were just yesterday, as she's been living in both the past and present simultaneously.

I took their scenes at the end to be one-sided; romantic intent from Glimmer but an entirely platonic response from Bow. It's either that or Glimmer is going to be the most unbelievable beard on the planet.

Entrapta sucks tho.
If you've only ever seen the original show, sure.

This Entrapta is a superstar.

oh but seriously I posted:

they might be speaking in relation to Best Princess Scorpia who makes all other Princesses seem like trash by comparison
Scorpia's the best in-universe but Entrapta is the best as a character to be featured in a children's show.

Season 2's length is really inexcusable when there was so much more Super Pal Trio we could've and should've had.

Scorpia and Entrapta are undeniably at the top, I wouldn't put either over the other; Mermista is a close second.
While not a princess in title, I think Angella doesn't get anywhere near enough praise and I'd put her somewhere in the top third of the cast. On that note and deviating further from strictly princessess, Huntara is also superb, for the few minutes she has.
