I’m glued to the thread, it’s so exciting. Also I said I was going to replay Zelda all the time but then I spent the last week playing back through Super Mario Odyssey.

I initially thought it was weird to use this method of ranking whatever you played in the year rather than only games that were released this year but it would be interesting to see the lists year over year and see which games show up in multiple years. The staying power and cachet of the best games is much clearer to see this way.

There are some 2017 games that I feel like would be better than a good chunk of my 2018 list but with 10 relevant slots I wanted to sort through just the past year's offerings

Games like Red Dead Redemption 2. All these and more are hoping for a space in the hottest top 10 list in gaming but one will have to miss out.
