Any scientist with the right background can brew his own booze.

...

What do you mean electrolytes aren't used for brewing booze? That's silly!

...

Well when all you have are chunks of TNE and an overly large water ration, all the world looks like a still!

Emerald Twinkle, Bejeweled Dazzler, Go-Go Golems
[-STR 6 (+2) | DEX 5 (+1) | CON 1 (-2) | INT 1 (-2) | WIS 5 (+1) | CHA 6 (+2)-]
[-HP 4/4 or 7/7 | Armor: 0 | Reflex: 2 | Will: 0-]

Proficiencies: Catching The Light, Flashy Fighting Moves, Trotting Like A Twinkletoes

The green jewel in Emerald's head lit up with a viridescent glow the moment the darkness fell around the golem and its competitors, providing a modicum of precious luminosity in the dark.

"*glint*"

Spotting the volleys of arrows incoming, Emerald Twinkle fearlessly picked up speed. The luminous namesake in its head became a bright band streaking through the shady groves. Quick tilts of its body narrowly avoided arrows shot at the beacon-like head and the crystal golem skipped in-between brush, trunk, foilage and unlucky competitor to avoid the larger of the wildings' volleys. At least until the Dazzler launched itself in the air to clear the hurdle of a pierced body. Many elf-bows took aim - let loose - then saw their shots whistle harmlessly past the sprightly golem when it kicked off against a passing tree in response, flipping sideways and changing its trajectory. A startled elf fell from the shuddering trunk.

The Go-Go Golem took a bare half-second to sketch a bow, then kept trotting onwards, too quick and graceful for the elven arrows to graze. It headed up the forest path - up and Left.

Topsy, Gravity Mage
[ HP 11/11 | Armor -2 | Reflex -2 | Will 0 ]
[ STR -1 | DEX -2 | CON -1 | INT 0 | WIS 0 | CHA 0 ]
Proficiencies: Gravity Control | Sense of Direction | Buffing

An arrow thunks into the ground near Topsy.

"What the hex, ya green meanies? Why are shooting at me? I recycle!"

Several more arrows arc out and bury themselves near her.

"Fine. If you love your trees so much, why don't you shoot them?"

Topsy waves her hands and a glowing nimbus envelops several trees. Branches and foliage bend and curl towards them. A couple arrows aimed at her curve and twist mid-flight to sink into the bark. Topsy makes her way down the left path, hair tugged this way and that by errant strands of gravity off the creaking trees.

Enchant the trees with high gravity to pull arrows to them. Grav well: 1d6+2 4

Brug, Evil Minions Union
[HP 11 | STR 0 | DEX 1 | CON 1 | INT 2 | WIS 0 | CHA 1]
Armor: 1 | Reflex: 1 | Will 3]
Proficiencies: Forgery, Demonology, Law

Brug decided it was time to make some mischief. The gnomes were an obvious target, their weak wills could be manipulated and they had already made enemies, enemies that could prove an ally to whoever took the thing out. Maybe they could be tricked into danger with the right lie.

quote:

EMERGENCY! SKILLED ENGINEERS WANTED!

A thief stole a valuable (classified) gizmo and fled into the forest. We've tracked them to a nearby swamp and now we want it back. An agent is already on their way but we want you to go in first and make sure they don't escape before he gets there. He'll reward you for your help and even further if you can retrieve the item safely. You may even be given license to use the High Gnomish Workshops if your machine proves effective.

-Techmistress Widget, Queen of the Gnomes

Brug looked at the message and smiled. It wasn't the imp's best work but it would have to do on such short notice. Brug employed its forgery talents to make the message look like an official gnomish code cylinder and teleported it into the Orthinomach's helm. With any luck the captain would be tricked and wreck the machine in the swamp.

Attacking Orthinomach v.012 by tricking them into a dangerous hazard. Combining Forgery and Charisma to attack vs their Will.

But People have fears that beasts do not. Questions, too.

[-HP 6/6 | STR +1 | DEX +1 | CON -2 | INT +2 | WIS +2 | CHA -1-]

Cotyl groaned in annoyance. How tedious! The Wild Elves were just making things harder on themselves by resisting. Why didn't they just allow the Race to pass them by and make repairs afterwards? It was... unfortunate how disruptive the Race could be to the local ecosystem, but it couldn't be stopped. He did not, however, think the Elves needed to be pacified, unlike some of his colleagues. Instead, he snapped open bark-like wings, fronds fluttering in the breeze of his run, then leapt into the air.

[Gliding Through The Air!: 1d6+2+1 7

He was a trifle out of practice, but this was just one of many things he was good at. He sped by, ignoring the rebellious fey.

(Rolling +DEX with Pretty Decent Gliding to take to the air and get out of here! Going Right!)

Yumiko Harada, The Graceful Crane

[ STR: 4 | DEX: 6 | CON: 2 | INT: 4 | WIS: 3 | CHA: 5 ]
[ Proficiencies: Yabusame Horse Archery | Cultured Upbringing | Cat's Agility ]

drat it, Seka! Yumiko hated how this always goes; Seka walks into danger and gets dogpiled.

Leaping from treebranch to treebranch, Yumiko backtracks part of the race and somersaults over the squirming pile of raptors and Seka. From above, she looses an arrow into the backs and heads of the raptors standing behind her sister in arms, hoping to give her a fighting chance in a one-on-one fight against the enemies before her.

Rolled a 10 7!

4 damage!

Corrigan

'Thanks random nobody.' Corrigan thought. Going up the hill would help her get her bearings, but the forest presented a reward of sorts. The power that would teem in these wilds would lead to something useful for ahead. Maybe a shortcut, or perhaps a treasure of the Fey could be found going off the road. Of course the Wild Elves would have something to say about that. But she's half-Dryad. They wouldn't harm something kin to nature, would they?

Corrigan's mind was made up. She tapped into all her knowledge and raw mana her Dryad half could muster. If there was something useful in the deep path, she would find it.

Corrigan will be tapping Fae Sense and Wisdom as she travels low and deep. She's hoping to find some secret treasure, or at the very least disappear from the Wild Elves. Roll is a 6. +2 from Fae Sense makes it 8.

Seka Kuroda, The Undaunted Lioness

[ HP: 8/11 ]
[ STR: +1 | DEX: -2 | CON: +1 | INT: 0 | WIS: -2 | CHA: -1 ]
[ Armor: 2 | Ref: -4 | Will -1]
[ Proficiencies: Duelling Mano-a-Mano | Intimidation | Ancient Languages ]

There's not a hell of a lot Seka can do - her armor is heavy and the raptors won't let up their attacks. Her only consolation is that at least they won't get through her armor for a while.

Well, like many bar brawls taught her, when there's no room to swing a sword, punch and gouge! Punch those raptors in the face!
