Just finished watching the new Child's Play and it felt like a big missed opportunity. Lot's of clever ideas that were totally lacking in execution. Is there an unrated cut? Because the ending in the supermarket was clearly cut up and basically devoid of any real gore.

They are in many ways like seeing an all new film and in some they are only slightly different. Still fun! Curious about Scream and Jaws. What does the fan edit do? Also, I'm surprised there's not a bigger culture of redoing effects in older films and shows amongst fans.
