The only part of the Wolfman that bothered me was the silver wolf cane was introduced, and then never used to kill anyone. The true monsters were the film makers. I don't think I've seen it since it was in theaters but I do remember it had some cool and bizarre dream like sequences, like maybe a travel one where the sun and moon cycle around while he walking? I dunno, I can't find the scene on youtube.

But those are the things that make horror movies fun!  And yeah, the whole gag with the ESP test is he's having fun torturing the guy and trying to get laid, but then he ignores when the guy starts to get it right. Works as a character moment and a sign that spooky stuff is afoot.
