Now I'm mad that Shout Factory's release of Halloween 3 didn't also come with a Tom Atkins figure so my dream of Tom Atkins teaming up with Tom Atkins can finally come true.

I find it kind of sad that Andy is like

He's what 12 here? Fucker was 8 at most in the first movie. I think 6? That's part of what makes it work so well. The younger Andy is, the more of a threat Chucky is. Chucky basically does not work as a physical threat to anyone that is above the age of ten unless they're disabled in some way or he has the element of surprise.

Even six year old Andy in the first Child's Play kicked his rear end head to head.

"This is the end, friend!"

My favorite moment in the entire Child's Play franchise is when Andy lands that haymaker on Chucky after being tied to his bed in Child's Play 2.

LMAO at these loving posers not growing up with a Mom and Pop video store with wood paneling and also , picking out a awesome horror movie solely based on the VHS cover, then swapping that video out of the case for a G rated Disney film in order to rent a rated R movie.

Most of the mom and pops around me had the movie cases on display but if you wanted to rent it, they had a tag hanging under the box that you'd bring up to the counter and they'd bring you the movie from the back, except for one place that had so many movies, they had all the VHS cases flattened down and stored in comic book long boxes.

Any of y'all so unapologetically nostalgic that you collect VHS tapes? The horror tape scene seems to be booming atm.

I don't like that prices have ballooned up just to gouge the collector's market, some maniac paid a few thousand dollars for a VHS bootleg of Black Devil Doll From Hell recently. As much as I love that movie (I own a VHS copy of it myself, but I only paid 2 bucks for it when my local mom and pop went out of business), there's honestly no reason for someone to be dropping that kind of cash on an old piece of obsolete media, especially if it's been remastered and resold on DVD/Bluray.

e: just looked it up, and it was Chester Turner's other movie, Tales From the Quadead Zone, that sold for a thousand.

I have both Evil Dead 1 and 2 with the latex covers. Used to display them on an antique book table I picked up somewhere. Still remember the first time one of my cats hopped up on it and stepped on that eye. Poor kitty managed some serious air time when it screamed. The crumbling with those is from the oxygenation conditions and mine crumbled completely off over the years. Only other things I've seen that sensitive are the custom made Hellraiser puzzle boxes which can risk warping and inlays popping if they're not kept in the right environment. I wish they'd reissue Evil Dead set with something more durable for a cover.

I always wondered what the hell caused that, because my copies are still like new, but hearing and seeing all the horror stories of people's copies crumbling made me paranoid about even touching mine.

While I don't have the full sets and have been keeping them packaged after the cats learned they're awesome for scratching hard to reach spots, I probably won't display them until I spluge on some fancy glass door display shelves.

Oh man, these are awesome. I wonder how close they scale to the Christmas village houses my mom has. If they're close, she's definitely getting the Elm St. house for Christmas (if I can find one, that is).

-Various small heists in rich folks' estates but also like swanky opera houses, decrepit ruins to find odd relics/etc.

-Lots of Lovecraftian god/stuff speaking directly into one's brain/ancient ruins stuff on the fringes of the story

-Heavy metal religious zealots

-Massive cool looking locations

-The protagonist ultimately triumphs with oldest trick in the book simple stuff the bad guys aren't expecting
