 These things seem to get later every year! It's the Steam Christmas Gift train for 2018! And I'm in a much better place to actually run it, this year!  WISHLISTS ARE NO LONGER PUBLIC BY DEFAULT, YOU MAY NEED TO CHANGE YOUR PRIVACY SETTINGS!What is the Gift Train, and how do I participate? It's a gift chain basically, everyone who signs up both gives and gets a gift. It's basically a more convoluted way of buying games for yourself, and of introducing your favourite game to others! Just join the list by posting your Steam ID in thread, and then gift to the person above you on the list! Everyone gives a gift, everyone gets a gift! It's that simple! Newcomers are always welcome to hop on, and if you hang around, you may even get to spin THE WHEEL, OF TRASH!  You give a gift to the previous person to sign up to the train, and you get one from the person below you! Simple as that! To join the train, just post your steam ID URL in thread (In a clear, clickable link) and also post your country, this is because you can no longer gift to a region with a price differential of more than 10%, and you can no longer save games to your inventory for later. Minimum spend this year is going to be $8 / £6.50 / €7- If you run off without gifting, or gift below that amount, you will be permanently blacklisted. - Post your country along with your Steam ID. - Keep your wishlists up to date! - Please either update your spot-post, or put up a new post once you've given/revived your gifts, so I don't have to chase you down later. - Communicate with the other person you're gifting to/from, make sure they want what you're giving them! This is meant to be fun and a way of making new friends! If you have to go to other places to get gifts, as Steam won't let you send anything, make sure your giftee know this before you commit.   Just be aware that Australia has officially joined the list of countries with regional pricing, so if you are gifting to/from down under double check with steamDB about the price difference (that is if the developer/publisher has even bothered to set a price in dollaridoos)

A rule of thumb is Western EU (not UK) can normally gift to everyone without any issues. Canada and Australia (NZ as well?) are often hit by the limit. US can usually gift to at least EU. Don't really know which areas UK, Asia and Eastern Europe can hit without problems. If you do have any problems, then look at shops like GMG, Fanatical, GamerGate, Humble etc. and buy a key there. Just remember to check region availability, as some will only sell to your own region.

THIS IS NOT A RIDE though I may come back later. STEAM IS REALLY WEIRD RIGHT NOW AND GIFTING'S KIND OF A HUGE HASSLE FOR EVERYONE. However, it seems like if you accept gifts in the inventory, NOT THE GIFT POP-UP, it doesn't take a few restarts for it send or accept the game coming in.
