I'm pretty unsatisfied with the way the last few chapters were. Ever since the festival the quality of the writing took a massive nosedive and I'm honestly really disappointed . I really liked this manga and now I don't even care that it's over.

I think part of the issue is "why did" Fuutarou decide to romance one of the 5 attractive girls that want to jump his bones NOW and not some other time?" There also wasn't really a good way to guess who it was. IMO it should've had a few more 'present' chapters so deductive readers could have predicted it. I agree, things like that make the whole genre feel exploitative (which I guess it is). If the author genuinely likes the characters he should have them get on with their lives.
