I honestly have no desire ever to watch that show, but I really like the costumes I've seen, and it makes me sad because otherwise it's in my mental "dumb as hell" bin.

I mean it totally was, I really only tuned in because their ad blitz worked on me and for whatever dumb reason I didn't want to get spoiled by twitter today in case the big celebrity reveal was an actual big name. (It wasn't.)

If you can DVR it and fast forward through everything but the performances and clue segments its....ok?

i completely lose my poo poo whenever the Lehman Brothers show up in that Black Monday show. The rest of the show is good but holy poo poo I don't know why that guy playing weird twins is like the funniest thing i've ever seen. Just the way they fly off the handle at the mere suggestion they have sex with eachother

Ken Marino is sooooooooo so good

I will not shut up about the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I talk about them all the time and work them into every conversation I have. I built a shrine in my room for the yellow one who died because sadly no one noticed because she died around 9/11. Wanna see it?

The Patriot creator’s next show is a neo-noir on Epix, whatever that is, starring Ben Kingsley, and it looks appropriately weird

Kudos for them somehow making a TV show that is even worse than the terrible movie they made before it. Although I firmly blame my dislike of it 99% on the marketing - "You'll never believe what happens!" and it being the most loving obvious thing.

I've never seen Catfish but you could say the same thing about the David Farrier documentary Tickled and it was still great.

Fair, I think you could assume 1. it was a sex thing and 2. the person behind the woman's name was a dude, but I think the rabbit hole on that one kinda went way beyond expectation. With Catfish I kept watching and thinking "this has to get big soon, right?" whereas Tickled did about the same amount with 20 minutes that Cf did with it's entire runtime.

As said, marketing really let it down as it overhyped rather than just letting it tell its story.

I thought the Batwoman/Gotham stuff in this year's crossover was a little... broad? But I suppose that's the tone of Gotham and I didn't not enjoy it. It would definitely be an interesting addition, especially since it was established as part of the main Flash/Arrow planet and not an alternate one.

I didn't mind her at all. I just thought the overall presentation was a little too, I dunno. Cartoony? Wooden? I really don't know. But obviously they were trying to make it fun to drop the established heroes into Gotham and its whole Batman world after never mentioning it once for 6+ years and present it as this totally loving whacked out Gotham/Batman world they didn't fit into. A proper pilot will be more doing its own thing and less concerned about making fun of Barry and Oliver or playing cutesy with Supergirl.

A lot of British shows only have one person doing the writing. Jennifer Saunders solely wrote every ep of Ab Fab.

Old Town Road to EGOT

This is YouTube related but it's in the thread title: I found about this channel called Real Life Lore last night and can't stop watching their videos. I stumbled upon one, then had to watch another, then another, etc. It's all about interesting facts about history and humanity and the limits of what we and the world around us are capable of.

It's got 2+ million subscribers, so I'm probably late to the party, but yeah. I'm glad I found it. Really educational stuff presented in little bite size videos!

Awesome, that sounds like extremely my poo poo and I haven't heard of them. It's really a shame there aren't good discovery tools around finding new channels you'd enjoy. Getting a giant firehose algorithm from YouTube's side is useless.

I have great luck with the algorithm but I actually engage in it and tell it when I'm not interested in a recommendation or not to show me a channel's content anymore. If anything it's better at finding stuff than I am, because there are plenty of times when I've passed over something it recommended based on the title and thumbnail looking like obnoxious clickbait and then only later when I see it posted in a thread or shared with me by a friend do I actually watch it and find out it's really good.
