He gets a lot of talk about being a possibility in the NBA from pundits and such. He's a pretty cool guy too.

My contractor company is supplied two vehicles by the government but they don’t come with parking spots within .5 miles of our field office. We had parking but DLA decided they needed a lot for letting pallets rot in the sun last year. I noticed our docking bay had about 20 pallets of poo poo and a 5500 lb counterweight blocking a spot so I junked everything and got the weight moved. Finally able to park our car during the day.

The govy building janitor swept in and took the spot for his van.

It was his poo poo i cleaned up.

Went to buy some shatter this morning. Told the tender what I wanted, paid, tipped and walked out with two bags of shatter not thinking about why I was carrying two bags and why it was heavier than an ounce. I got to a taco bell to order some godawful breakfast of champion potheads and decided to double check the bags when I realized she gave me a second ounce accidentally.

For a split second the giant stoner in me said keep it. Then another pothead voice chimed in with 'their loss your gain!' Finally a third voice kicked the two greedy rear end in a top hat stoner voices in their heads and silently stared into my minds' eye with a look of disappointment. I got my tacos and went back to the dispensary. Walked in, talked to the budtender briefly, got a whole pile of thank yous and returned my ill gotten gains. Some of us are honest potheads, just got to get past the couple of greedy voices in the head first.

I mean, if it was buy one get one free day, they definitely weren't advertising. And it helps that we discussed working in the industry too. I don't want to see a nice budtender lose her job because we were talking poo poo about Illinois and never moving back to the corn prison. They know I work at a grow, talked a little shop, maybe opened a future door, who the gently caress knows, but my conscience is clean.

- A growing lamp to sustain your little sproutlings through March. You'll want something in the 25-30+ Watt range at least. It's fairly little by the standards of professional growing operations, but it's enough to sustain your little ones until April when you start getting sufficient sustained exposure from sunlight


- a bag of "growing compost", 10l is more than enough for the haul from your greenhouse: 4-10 bucks

That's pretty much all you need and it'll set you back 70-100 bucks tops, depending on how many seeds you buy, and what type of lamp you're going for. You don't necessarily need the greenhouse or the peat/coconut pods, since the growing compost can get the same job done, but a greenhouse and pods really reduce the amount of effort for spawning seeds to a minimum while yielding a maximized spawning rate through an optimum in conditions for your seeds

If you want to sustain your plants past the initial growing stage, you'd need something more powerful in lamps, because your small growing lamps generally can't cover the amount of foliage that develops due to a limited lighting arc, arm mobility, and lack of foliage penetration. The smart money for a small-time operation here is still on LED lamps due to the low operating costs, but a full-spectrum setup with decent Wattage-equivalence will probably cost you upwards of 100 bucks.

You need to keep in mind that your average fully-grown plants will develop to 30-90cm depending on the kind, so any single-product will usually only cover 2-3 fully grown plants sitting on a window-sill. My approach in this situation was to go with multiple reasonably powerful but still affordable full-spectrum bulbs from Taotronics. 60^ arc, just a little under one square meter of lighting surface at a good distance from my plants, and once I separate my plants and move half of them to the other windowsill, I can move the bulb along with them.

Got the call today and we're just waiting for the official offer letter from HR but looks like my husband got the job he applied for in Durham, NC. We are moving over the summer with all this going on so that should be "exciting". It will be my first time in NC but he was previously in Ashville about a decade ago. Looking forward to escaping the Midwest for the second time

The one on the right was a couple hundred bucks at Sams Club. The one on the left is my first woodworking project since the Pinewood Derby in 1989. It's 36x42", and surprisingly level with the storebought (adjustable height) bench. The legs are all dual 2x4s because Lowes and HD won't cut 4x4s in the store and I couldn't safely transport one in my cars. It's study as hell. The top layer of MDF is easily replaceable if it gets too damaged.





Edit: This thing is worth every penny for those pocket holes. One of the best tool purchases I've made in years.
