I definitely haven’t looked that closely, I’ve only glanced at the most recent statement for each card. I know it’s a ridiculous amount of money, but honestly judging from what I’ve seen it seems right. For example, there was a single day in September where he purchased Subway for breakfast, then ate at a local Thai place for lunch. That was 35$ right there. On the way home there was 5$ at a gas station, for chips or something. He ordered 100$ of weed online (I don’t smoke), and over 100$ on Fortnite. He also spent 20$ on something he won’t explain, but I suspect is porn or a cam girl maybe?

I'm just glad her first instinct was :sever:

I'm looking for a short-term car lease so that I have something very nice and fancy to drive away in after my third wedding (same wife each time, we just didn't feel like the first two were magical enough). Can anyone recommend one?

Edit: No horse-drawn carriages, please. We tried that at the second wedding and it was kind of smelly. Serious ideas only please. This wedding needs to be the one because I've run out of credit cards to put them on.

You had me until "same wife".

Some subreddits automatically delete threads if they have been linked somewhere else on the internet, and maybe even if it's crossposted between other subreddits.

I think r/relationships does that, not sure about r/personalfinance.

Also I didn't check the Reddit page, but I'm almost sure that particular French castle is not really the stone fortification castle like some of you might be picturing, and it's more likely that it's a chateau instead.

My point is that it's still really bad with money, and it's probably not as fortified against being repossessed.

Fake edit: I mean for relatively small purchases like home appliances and clothing and whatnot, of course.

My mom is retired and she just finished off paying a loan for the house she built on her mother's farm.

Yesterday she wanted to take out another loan "because it's good to have something in your record" and "you have to spend money to make money". :cripes:

I managed to talk her out of the loan for now, but my sister is trying to convince her to take it out anyway. You might think my sister is mooching off my mom, but she is completely independent from her so I have no idea why she is doing this.

Back in undergrad I talked my way into an upper level business school course on leadership because I needed to fill some credit hours. The professor split us into small groups and for the first six weeks, every week we would take different personality tests and discuss the results. We had to answer questions like, "choose two team members who have different results. Given $problem in the work place how would you adapt your strategies for communicating with each of them." Then the next week questions would include "is there anyone in your group where the communication strategies recommended by the this assessment and the previous assessment contradict? How would you address this?"

As an anti-social goon it actually really helped me understand and communicate with other people. The vast majority of the class hated it and constantly complained that they couldn't understand what any of this had to do with being a leader.

Ultimately my biggest takeaway from that class is that business students are gigantic loving morons whongroe up to be bad with management.

My issue with these personality pidgeonholing tests is that I'm not sure who is the target audience for them, outside of draconian HRs.

Bad managers aren't going to use these tests for a good purpose and they also won't bother getting to know their workers either, so this tooling won't do them any good. (But then if they are bad managers, nothing will)

Good managers will probably just get to know their workers and also won't really need this tooling, so the tests are basically useless either way. I'm also not sure if there's enough managers with "anti-social goon" and "good managers" traits to have enough people using it the intended way. (again, outside draconian HRs)
