In typical Shyamalan fashion, there were multiple ridiculously stupid twists.

It wasn't his worst movie, though. Not when poo poo like The Happening exists. I guess that's the best I can say about it.

The Happening is fun to laugh at, yeah, but because it's so bad. It's not a movie I can enjoy unironically.

I think the last time I watched it was with RiffTrax, and I probably wouldn't watch it again without a commentary track like that.

Since this is the movie forum, it’s worth noting that this is precisely Laurie Strode’s characterization in Halloween H4O: walking around with a handgun, hoping that Michael Myers breaks free and goes on an identical rampage so that she can kill him ‘this time’.

Is Laurie racist against Michael? In a sense, yeah. Her entire worldview centres around his elimination, when he’s just some geriatric manchild.

Yes there are lots of movies about vengeance and vigilantism. H4O is one of them.

Laurie is incredibly unhealthy in the movie, and the other characters call her out on this repeatedly. She’s spent 40 years constantly repeating a traumatic event from her youth over and over in her mind, hoping she gets the opportunity to re-enact it and kill a mentally challenged dude in self-defence.

She’s doing the Death Wish sequel thing. The entire society seems to revolve around the elimination of criminal ‘boogeymen’.
Yes, I'm familiar with Halloween. I saw it in theaters twice. But this is about a white man specifically looking for a black person to kill in real life, not two white horror movie characters.
