Black Lightning
Jefferson Pierce was a normal man who grew up in the South Side of Metropolis, A notorious slum. At a young age he witnessed the murder of his father by an up and coming gangster by the name of Tobias Whale. Living with his mother in poverty Jeff found his way out of the slums through sports eventually rising to become an Olympic gold medal athlete. Along the way he picked up a teaching degree (courtesy of a grant from the Wayne Educational Foundation.) and met his future wife Lynn with whom he has two young daughters. Returning to his old home he took up at a teaching post at his former school Garfield High and worked to help his students achieve a better life. Unfortunately he found a South Side under assault by the notorious gang the One Hundred now led by Tobias Whale.
When the One Hundred attacked and killed one of his students, Jefferson became angry and accidentally discovered his latent powers of control over electricity. Worried about threats to his family and friends he donned the mantle of Black Lightning and with the occasional help of other Metropolis based heroes took the fight back to the One Hundred. Now though he's beginning to find himself way out of his depth, taking on a gang is one thing but aliens? Alternate dimensions? Still if that's what he's got to do to take care of his home then he'll step up.

SFX: Unleashed. Step up or double any Bio-Electricity power for one action. If the action fails, add a die to the doom pool equal to the normal rating of your power die.
Limit: Conscious Activation. While stressed out, asleep, or unconscious, shutdown Bio-Electricity. Recover Bio-Electricity when you recover that stress or wake up. If you take mental trauma, shutdown Bio-Electricity. until you recover that trauma.
Limit: Metagene. Earn 1 PP when affected by Metagene-specific Milestones and tech.
