Anyway, try not to dwell unduly on the past. Bygones be bygones etc, these are literally things that are out of your control - and anyone else's control for that matter - because they've already happened. No changing that.
Instead think about the future and what you can do to make your life and the lives of the people you care about better, even if it's just in a small way. Bake some cookies for your friends and neighbours. Call your parents. Make some art. Enjoy a local park.

Alternatively, watch some al jazeera and realise that millions of other people have lives that are infinitely worse and more deeply hosed up than yours or mine.

Seconding the exercise suggestion. I think of it as burning the stress off caused by work / life in general. You'll feel much better than you would have otherwise and you'll fall asleep without a problem.

Looking at the screen can trick your dumb monkey brain into thinking it's daylight or something, so i try to avoid doing that as much as possible.
