Thanks, I like coming to the Good Tweets thread to read about children dying in horrible agony due to poisoning by evil capitalists pigs (who got away with it). Made my night, really.

The first tweet says it has graphic content and the tweet you didn't like was something like 20 tweets in so I feel like you could have stopped reading well before that if all you wanted was a joke or an idiot getting dunked on. It's a good tweet and it belongs in this thread.

Shouldn’t the person who originally posted the tweet thread with the dead baby also get probated and the tweet deleted?

I feel like there's a pretty significant difference between posting the start of a long (and good) tweet thread that features graphic content but has a warning up front that it features graphic content, and posting a giant screenshot of the specific dead baby tweet inline in the thread.

Went to this dude's Wiki and learned he had to install cannons in his newspaper office to protect it against regular pro-slavery rioters, and later installed a cannon at his home to protect himself against all the death threats.

And now I guess she thinks 5G causes cancer and/or coronavirus and doesn't remember the Troubles happened

I'm kind of torn because on the one hand I approve of drowning out those garbage hashtags with kpop stans, but on the other hand the harder they drown them out the more those hashtags trend, so if someone doesn't actually click on it to see that it's all fancams then they go about their day thinking there's a huge groundswell of right-wing sentiment on social media.

It's both. His copy is Braille but also he has memorized it, so at the end of the book he recites it from memory for the good guys to make a new copy, and Gary Oldman is left with a Braille copy that's useless to him because no one can read it

Pratchett was, behind his comedy and silly writing, extremely acute in his observations and managed to get points like this across better than most serious writers, in just a small side note.

He was one of those guys who I'm convinced was extremely aware of how absurd the world is, and just relentlessly made fun of it instead of getting all worked up about it.

Man I miss thst guy.

According to Neil Gaiman he was angry about the world's injustices pretty much all the time, and I think that comes through in his writing. He's angry about the bad things in the world, but is able to find a way to laugh at it, because if you can't laugh at the bad things in the world you'll go insane.
