I'll probably get this for PC because I tried Injustice 2 on PS4 and its very-not-good wifi connection drove me crazy. The MKX port had its problems but allegedly WB cleaned up their act for Injustice 2 on PC.

Yeah, they learned their lesson with MKX/MKXL. I just hope that there isn't a gap between console and PC releases like their was for IJ2.

It is coming to Switch! I am cautious though, NetherRealm is bad about optimizing their games and in the past put an emphasis on quality and optimization exclusively on PlayStation and Xbox. To the point where people were wondering why they even bothered releasing their games on other systems. I would wait for the DigitalFoundry analyst to see what you're giving up by buying it on Switch.

NRS has been great about optimisation for the versions they do. The PC versions were never done by NRS and that's why they sucked until XL.

Again, NRS wasn't handling version, that was being handled by High Voltage, the studio that also hosed up MKX on PC.

NRS did the Vita version of MK9 themselves and that's probably a better benchmark for what to expect - it runs perfectly but looks like complete poo poo.

Dab, a tournament player and streamer revealed 5 announced characters on his stream tonight from what he said was a trusted source. Turns out the source was him, and his invitation to the event was revoked. At least that's the story he's telling. Could all be bullshit, we'll see tomorrow. The characters were Liu Kang, Shang Tsung, Jax, Kabal, and Noob Saibot.

Erron Black is definitely returning. He was far and away the most popular newcomer.

I bet we see Cassie as well since they set her up as the new protagonist. By extension, the Kombat Kids would make sense.

I doubt we see Ferra/Torr, although as I type this I'm second guessing myself. MK doesn't have a grappler without them, so unless one of the other newcomers we have been hearing about likes to get grabby, it might happen.

My shot in the dark, very unlikely but what the hell pick is to keep Tremor around. He seemed to go over pretty well.

Mileena is dead, Baraka is dead. I think Rain is dead? This didn't stop Kung Lao from being playable however.

"dead" characters won't return but "dead characters who were resurrected" like kung and liu kang def will. I'm hoping D'vorah returns since she didn't die and was easily one of the coolest new characters in years.

I don't think that big leaklist is real due to Ermac being on it, just feels totally wrong. Also loving Pennywise I mean come on.

D'vorah was super popular competitively too so I'd hope she would return. I also require yet more Kombat Kidz to validate my own headcanon 'ships I've held for years.

Jacqui should be retooled into the new grappler. get rid of her halfassed zoner kit and give her the Bane moves. Jax probably isn't coming back so give her the MMA toolset.

I'm hoping the balance for the game is better than X/IJ2. Both weren't too bad even with braindead decisions like the zero frame recovery of Deadshot's poo poo or Erron Black's kit but it's been getting better since the old MK9/IJ1 days. Injustice 1 in particular flat out had two tiers: S-tier and garbage and that was it.

Injustice 2 had too many effortless zoners in general and high-level matches got really boring to watch, hopefully they severely limit that kit in MK11.

I feel like zoners are less of a problem in MK games mainly due to the extreme relevancy of characters who have teleport attacks

I remember they talked about the fan reaction to Black only wearing a Cowboy hat as a Gunslinger, how it surprised them because they thought that playing as a Cowboy full time in a MK game would feel silly to the fans.

The fans basically reacted with "do... do you know we even play MK?!"
