You're right. Mazda's are poo poo actually, haven't innovated in decades.

If they were using even a V6 engine they would have a better shot. Cranking 40 psi of boost through a 2 liter 4 banger does not bode well for it surviving in an endurance environment.

This is the part that always confuses me. I get that many of their production cars use a 4 cylinder but it just doesn't seem like a great idea for this kind of race car. Then again I'm no expert and there are some crazy 4 cylinder cars in other series. I just want Mazda to win. :smith:

Bentley's make such good GT3 cars. :swoon: It's just a shame I rarely see them do well except for Bathurst.

What I liked about the Nismo broadcasts was that I could watch it the next day because catching it live is pretty much impossible for me so even a reddit stream link won't be worth it. It's a bummer because Okayama races are always good too.

Todays VLN race was a good one. Also rainy and actually competitive to the last lap which is fun to watch.
There's some racing going on at VIR here in the ol' USA. GT4, TCR, and Blancpain.

Absolutely loving worth it, holy poo poo. Cannot wait for next year. Wish the WEC had more cars though, track seemed really empty for long periods of their race.

I did Daytona this year also, and I highly doubt I'll ever go back. poo poo show all around, and not just the weather.

What didn't you like about Daytona? It was my first endurance race in person so my frame of reference isn't great.

SportsCar racing is hilarious.

I think the Super GT mother chassis is for cars racing under the JAF specs not the FIA GT3 specs so they build around the spec chassis and I think they can use the JAF spec engine too? That's how you get the Evora and Prius in the mix but those use different engines.

It's not exactly widely known but they've been smart about marketing it making it free to watch on YouTube and with good production value at that. They have a bunch of live onboards while Super GT is still strugging to figure it out somehow?
