The show's pretty brutal in its portrayal of Carmella and her purposeful ignorance regarding Adriana's death. She literally dreams about it and the next morning doesn't even give it a second thought while pouring over her blueprints to the building Tony bought her, which was only given to her to do exactly that.

The scene where she's going through business cards and briefly pauses when she sees the one from the private investigator before throwing it away and calling the construction people is legit one of the best scenes.

Eh disagree i guess. The show always makes a pretty big thing about the dizziness, blurry vision ect he gets. None of the previous POV shots in that scene imply that. And the message goes from "you never know how or when your end comes" to.. "go back to therapy " ?

The whole "gift of our cuisine" is so much better when you get to the part in Italy where Paulie cant even stomach actual Italian food and instead orders some noodles and tomato sauce like the "classless piece of poo poo" he is.

I'm pretty sure Artie has a death wish what with pointing a rifle at Tony, rustling Christopher's hair and beating the poo poo out of Benny. It's like suicide by cop turned up to 11.

He reminds me of Gloria Trillo. Clearly depressed, just kinda walking through mine fields and not giving a poo poo.

I love that Gloria is basically walking around with a flashing neon sign saying,"I'M YOUR MOTHER, TONY!" the entire time he's gushing about how great it is to finally meet a strong, independent, take-no-poo poo woman who isn't like anybody else he knows.

I love that brief scene with Melfi at the end of Pine Barrens.

That's also why I think it really was the horse that he killed Ralph over. Everything he was saying could have applied to Tracey, but he didn't care about her the same way he cared about the horse.

I think in the commentary for that scene Chase specifies that it is Tracy Tony is talking about.

I just thought the pussy thing was a joke...a last ditch attempt to try anything to get them back on his side and maybe not kill him.

This is one of my favorite episodes on the series and the write-up was fantastic. Can't wait for you to hit some of my other favs.

The thing I find weird is that Tony has so many close calls with rats and understands perfectly well how the FBI targets family men who are more willing to flip for the sake of their (real) families and then is so cavalier about Patsi and Carlos dumbass kids getting into poo poo in season 6.

-Different episode. Ep 1 of S4 I believe.

I always wondered if Ralphie intentionally planted that seed knowing that Jackie Jr would inevitably gently caress it up and get killed.

Or maybe Ralph just did it hoping to see Tony get humiliated that one of his card games got robbed.

He did it to endear himself to Jackie in the easiest possible stepfather way by feeding him poo poo he knew he would eat up. He wants to look cool and buy the respect of a pissy spoiled brat that insults him in front of his boss at every opportunity. I dont think he anticipates him pulling the heist though. He cares about Jackie the same way Tony does, which is only through some other connection (Jack Sr and Rosalie).

Look at how he screws Paulie out of the take by intentionally leaving Little Paulie out in the cold and then arguing to Tony that all Paulie did was give him a security code.

I never got this or later in the series where Vito gives Paulie some tip off about the Colombians he robs. If you have a alarm code or info about some sweet score or whatever why give it to someone in another crew and go through the hassle of getting your share instead of just doing the poo poo yourself with your own crew? Is it just about turf?

Maybe. It just seemed like the resulting arguments over the split seemed to undo any goodwill the tip may have gotten you in the first place. And Paulie doing anything for Ralph seems kinda out of character.
