Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's Jimmy T.
Welcome to the Goon Music Megathread! I was a little surprised we didn’t have a thread for sharing music other than the “Post Your Soundcloud” thread in Musician’s Lounge, so I decided I would volunteer to put one together. I have noticed that we have quite a few goons that make music and wanted to give people a place to share their artist page(s) and new music, as well as a single place for people to find goon music projects.

If you would like to share your social media accounts and/or links to your music, please post them in this thread and I will add them to the OP. Include your artist name and a brief description of your style of music so I can include that as well. In addition, please feel free to post any new releases or content in this thread. I will only update the OP with links to your page(s) but this thread should also be the place where you let us know of anything new.

I don’t want to be very strict to start off on what content can be posted in this thread. It doesn’t have to be completed songs. You can certainly feel free to post a youtube channel where you noodle around on synths or make tutorial videos. Obviously, it should be music-related but it can certainly be something other than a finished song. I did organize the artist pages/links into two sections. One is for goons making full songs and albums while the other is for anything else (jam sessions, synth noodling, demoing new gear, etc).

If you have any questions or suggestions, or would like me to update your links/descriptions please feel free to send me a PM.

Yes, there are some crazy cool sounds on your SoundCloud. In fact, I could use those "Cleaning the Litter Box" synths for a cool beat.

This is cool as hell dude, awesome work. I'm curious how long it takes to patch something like that on a modular system.

I uploaded my most recent release to YouTube, and am going to start posting more content there since learning that it is the #1 place people go for new music. Would definitely appreciate any support as I try to get this channel up and running. The song below is a collaboration with a rapper I met through a reddit thread, going for a classic boom-bap sound.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7vIdDS6ssc

I am editing a second video for the channel today and its going to be a series very similar to the Rhythm Roulette series on Mass Appeal's channel. Basically I go to a record store, blindfold myself, and pick out three records that I will try to sample from to make a hip-hop beat. The twist I added is that my wife is going to pick out a fourth album, having little knowledge of records and what is good for sampling. The records I ended up picking blindfolded were less than exciting to sample from, but I think I ended up making something pretty cool.

Thank you! Hopefully this track was made with my techno case where 80% of the connections can remain patched (sequencer to voice, voice to mixer). So it's mostly a matter of building and launching sequences + turning knobs live

When I feel more experimental then I plug this one and then yeah making a nice patch can take a few hours of experimenting.

https://soundcloud.com/user-984973587/sets/works-in-progress

It's dark electronic music that blends influences from 80's synthpop to R&B to video game & film soundtracks into a cohesive whole..
The tracks up at the moment are all the instrumental compositions for each track, without vocals recorded yet, and I feel it still plays well even as an entirely instrumental album.

This is the first collaboration that I've taken part in for many years, and I composed the backing for a friend's final step of healing from being sexually abused by her brother. She recorded the vocals and video in one take. It took a year from start to finish to complete this project, for obvious reasons. I composed an Elanor Rigby'esque backing using EastWest's composercloud sound libraries.

I'm desensitised to this track to a certain degree, but it still affects me every time I listen to it. I've never worked on anything so challenging tbh.

She ok'd the release a few minutes ago, so here it is.

Oh dope, I didn't even know we had a thread for this!

My main project is Aetherius. I was in a band for a while and had a different short-lived (rushed and not properly finished) solo project several years back, but Aetherius is the primary one I've been releasing stuff under since 2008.

It's electronic/ambient/experimental stuff. You may have heard some of it before, because I've posted a couple of my releases on SA in the past. I've released 4 albums and 3 EPs under that name.

I made an album of noisy/industrial-ish/doomy/vaguely post rock-ish sounds and I'm pretty happy with it. It's sometimes loud, sometimes spacey, abrasive, and repetitive. The middle four tracks are the meat of the album which started as one monster track with several different sections and builds. I might tinker with this again at some point if I find a vocalist but for now I'm calling it done. No final names for anything yet so here's the music with working titles:

Figure I'll throw my hat in the ring. I have a few projects running but only one "EP" released, under the name Vapid Koi. I guess you'd call it lo-fi?

https://vapidkoi.bandcamp.com/releases

The story behind it is I had the progression for the first song done, showed my partner and he recommended I work on it. At that time I ran out of anti-psychotics and wasn't able to get more for a while. So I slowly began to suffer a schizophrenic breakdown. I worked on each track sequentially, with the first track being done first and so on. As the EP progresses you can tell I started to have an obsession with textures and repeating the same thing over and over.

Overall I am proud of what I accomplished, especially since it is THE sound of a mental breakdown for me. I do not ever want to go through it again though.

Thanks! If you want to sample then be my guest. I can send you stems if you want. Happy to accommodate.

And thanks 2DCAT.

I would love to work with some stems. I honestly think I could make a beat for every song on that project but let's start out with stems for "For Never, Amen" and "Enter Stage Left" if that isn't too much trouble. You have some really great textures in there. E-mail address below.

I did a new track for Jay Tholen's new video game Hypnospace Outlaw. I was supposed to be pretending to be a 90's alt folk band, which I may or may not have been successful at. I like how the song turned out though.

Oh yeah I also did a couple for the Frog Fractions 2 ARG a bit ago that I don't think I ever shared here.

They were supposed to be recordings left over after some sort of apocalypse on Bug Mars. Some of the weird compositional choices are driven by puzzles built into the music.

I went to see Vitalic yesterday and a friend asked me to be the godfather of his daughter so all this inspired me to make this track
