what did the sao auther do that was woke? genuinely curious I really liked the gungale online spin-off and recovery of an mmo junkie. gungale in particular was a blast. the differences between the characters' real life selves and their mmo personas was pretty great across the board in a way that was funny and endearing. and the action scenes managed to make the low stakes work in their favor by letting the characters have a kind of breezy approach to things like limb loss. the big finale fight in gun gale is somehow one of the more memorable fight scenes in recent memory for me because of how unexpected and hardcore it is. LLENN is incredibly good and is a true doom-murder head
