I closed the false thread, because clearly after watching the Pats play like that they are not good for any NFL.

This is the celebration thread though.

Now I need to throw away my 5X championship shirt because they have 6 lmao

But seriously the Rams were frauds except for Wade Phillips. Goff literally can't read defenses if they shift after 00:15 on the play clock because that's when they turn off the helmet radios lmaoooooooooo

Thats three of ours innit...to one of yours. You know mate I really think we ought to even up the average!
Surely Bellichick and Brady will retire now?

The AFC East will face into irrelevance until the Dolphins or Bills complete their rebuilds.

Pats D should've gotten the MVP.

Also impressive that in the era where high-scoring offense is the future, count on Bill Belichick to go smashmouth football with...

[checks notes]

...Rex Burkhead.

i think the problem was everyone on the D played amazing, so there wasn't one guy you could point to and be like "him, give him the MVP" because everyone on the defense played at such a high level while most of the offense was a trash fire except for edelman, so he set himself apart more

but if the unit could get MVP it wouldn't have been a contest

I caught the NFL Primetime segment that had Bill Belichick talking to the crew & Randy Moss was all happy to see him win.

It got me thinking: Would you trade the last 2 Super Bowl wins for a perfect 19-0 season in 2007? I'm guessing not, but it does give one pause.

This Super Bowl barely registers as a win.

nah (either the last 2 or the last 3)

2007 sucked but it was a long time ago. brady wins that and never wins again, that one team is stellar and the patriots 2001-2008 are a dominant dynasty but not world-class. but the 28-3 game, and going on another series of "lets just collect three new super bowl trophies" puts them into an entirely different class, they've been insane for so loving long that its unbelievable and unmatchable. if brady wins in 2007, loses in 2011, (wins/loses) in 2014, loses in 2016, 2017, 2018, he's a very good qb but he starts getting a "started choking in his old age" vibe

the last three just cement the patriots multi-decade dominance in a way that a perfect season in 2007 couldn't replace
