Day off work so I'm checking out the new Max Kellerman boxing show in ESPN2 "Max on Boxing" named after his super old NYC public access show back when he was a teenager. A bit short at half an hour but it's alright for shoulder programming I guess Also a couple of pods to add to the OP State of Combat - Comes in boxing, MMA and pro wrestling varieties all hosted by CBS's Brian Campbell. The boxing edition is co-hosted by journalist/author Rafe Bartholemew in a reunion of the old "The Ropes" podcast which used to be Grantland a few years ago. https://www.cbssports.com/podcasts/in-this-corner-with-brian-campbell/ Showtime Boxing - Hosted by the former HBO Boxing podcast crew of Eric Raskin and Kieran Mulvaney. If you liked the HBO pod you'll like this too since they haven't lost their touch and seem to have even a bit more latitude than before https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/showtime-boxing-with-raskin-mulvaney/id1443915777?mt=2 SI Boxing with Chris Mannix - Another podcast continued on from another platform as Mannix returned to Sports Illustrated from Yahoo late last year. Don't care for a lot Mannix's opinions but he is a good host and has the most important guests on week to week https://art19.com/shows/boxing-mannix Fistianados with Evan Rutkowski - Rutkowski is a former HBO executive so the primary focus is the boxing business but by far the best regular podcast for that type of thing which admittedly I enjoy way too much. Recently switched platforms so there might not be new episodes for a bit but Evan's twitter is very active in the meantime. https://twitter.com/fistianadospod?lang=en BBC 5 Live Boxing with Costello and Bunce - If you're in North America and have ever streamed a show you're likely all too familiar with BoxNation host Steve Bunce desparately trying to keep himself from falling asleep for cards that being at around 3 AM GMT. Seems to be the best podcast on that side of the pond https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04v5n4p/episodes/downloads

Cigar Aficionado posted:Joyce/Stiverne is apparently for the WBA eliminator for Manuel Charr? Maybe the biggest joke for a "title eliminator" ever. Just booked travel to Arlington for Spence/Garcia EDIT: The Ninth Layer posted:I'm disappointed we're not getting the immediate rematch but I am happy to know my OP should remain relevant for a while. Fury joining ESPN locks up the Battle of the Brands with each of the three major networks having one piece of the heavyweight championship. I'm inclined to agree with this too. Linear TV isn't what is once was but it's hard to underestimate the amount to which this can be built up with ESPN showing Fury and Wilder (fight and press conference) highlights every day for 2 weeks leading into the fight. Just by nature of his style and not having real big power Porter will never be not in a close fight unless he's fighting against someone who's washed or a scrub but he'll probably never get clearly beat until he's way over the hill either.
