I'm... not sure the same will be true of Atelier Nelke: Not Even Making Bombs With Your Mom 180k over 3 months puts L&S as one of the best sellers in the franchise, even but yeah i've said this at length in the RPG thread but nelke strips out all the crafting and combat that makes atelier games fun (like seriously the montages i've seen of combat in nelke look really dull and uninspired), and i dunno if the game tripling down on character interactions or the townbuilding stuff makes up for that

you should also be getting requests to fight mini-bosses (who you can go back and fight at anytime after finishing the request) from the notice board though i dunno how many were actually really difficult, given my metric of "did i need all eight of firis' follow-up skills plus the full buff/debuff setup to do the job"

in postgame VH if bosses get an attack in on you, you're probably suffering a KO and then with sophie if you try to delay her she has a reaction move that, even if it somehow doesn't straight up KO, will severely delay the offender to boot so
