Yeah, I don't mean people have to be incredibly invested in it and have strong rooting interests and all that, but it has to at least maintain enough cultural bandwidth that people are seeing scores and not forgetting that it exists.

This is why I've spent the week asking anyone wearing red on red if they're a Commanders fan and whether they think Trey Williams will be more involved this week.

I got a lot of confused looks yesterday.

Soon, we find out if an AAF QB can have a negative passer rating when the Hotshots take on the Hack Attack.

I remember when EA released a licensed Arena Football game basically just to make sure nobody else would.

All I want is a college version of Blitz: The League. Blitz University. Pay players covertly, give them steroids, pay for abortions, cover crimes, etc. Simplified football gameplay (compared to EA) would also be nice.

Nearly every compelling game feature you name would require paid DLC.

Mike Singletary and Hackenberg are an offensive disaster and I love every minute of it. Please bring in Peterman to compete to start

The AAF is awesome because a league average of 2 picks thrown a game is hilariously great. CBL amirite (clown ball league)

They wasted Luanne on Lucky!

She could of have been so much more but the writers just didn't care!
Even if it's not in the NFL, I'm glad that Hackenberg has lived up to the billing as unplayable.

You should try Mutant Football League. It's like Madden but for people who don't learn good and prefer their football with decapitations

lol Memphis is a 13 point underdog to Arizona.

After exactly one week in the entirety of the league's existence, Vegas has determined that Christian Hackenburg's presence is worth two touchdowns to the other team.

Isn't it going to have to attain some degree of popularity (in terms of people actually watching games/following the league) to get any kind of betting volume? Obviously there are degenerates who will bet on it now, but that applies to literally anything.

I think it's more of a technology incubator. This whole thing with their app bring able to track individual players is going to enable all sorts of side bets and prop bets that just aren't available now. They're using the AAF to get the technology mature before they translate it to the NFL.
