Katara Orono,Zef Arkada,Kolzaar Rathe, Bikke - Sith Academy Landing Pad, Korriban

The shuttle ride was smooth, even if the transport was spartan in its accommodations. It was staffed by the imperial navy, the marines on board relieved that their mission could be handed off to the army. Squads of imperial troopers escorted you and other hopefuls along with the hopeless to their fate in the citadel of Sith might. The security was layered without seeming to impact the academy and its rulers.

Gear was delivered to each of you by the imperials as your old items and clothing was removed. Training weapons, deadly but not as strong as a light saber were given to each of you along with initiate robes. As you exit the ramp of the shuttle, you see another parked nearby. As you make your way to the new arrivals area the wind blows hot.

Counting yourselves there were an additional six aspirants that were not in the same shuttle as you waiting. A tall and imposing Sith Overseer was delivering a seething diatribe to one of them. He was human and showed the markings of someone steeped in the dark side. His blazing eyes held an intensity and color that pierced into the hearts of any who dared to look. “-vile alien scum! Ever again!”

The initiate was then thrown to the ground with the force. The thrown Zabrek groaned after being smashed and took his place back in line submissively.

The overseer took in your arrival and sighed. In a raspy voice he began, “Listen up. All of you. I am overseer Talco. I care not who you were or what you are because now you are nothing. I will oversee your trials and either see you succeed, or watch you perish to be forgotten and unremembered where you fell. *If* you succeed you will have the honor of becoming Sith. The lords will be watching your progress and should you succeed then they may reward you with that honor.” He looks over all of you. Some look frightened, some smug, a few determined.

“Your first task, is to go into the tomb of Marka Ragnos and retrieve recently uncovered writings detailing the dark histories of his time. The tomb is littered with deadly traps, beasts, and potentially a few disgraced initiates. Return with the writings or not at all.” He spat hatefully.

“Those of you that live will earn a sliver of my respect and might just be worth my time. When you have the writings, return to me at the academy in the eastern wing. Now get out of my sight before my rage over takes my sense of duty!” With that the overseer stalks away, other initiates scattering before him.

The Zabrak who suffered Overseer Talco's ire scowled at the rest of you. “What are you all looking at? Anyone of you crosses me, will have an accident.” He shoved his way through some of the other initiates as he left. A small woman initiate walked to a few of the others. She would ask something but they'd shake their heads before hurrying away. As she approached the last four of you she begins to panic. “I can't! I won't make it! Please help me, we can work together.” Her weakness and fear can be felt by each of you. She doesn't control her fear but it controls her. The task looms before you as well as choices.

Kier Felsto - Sith Academy Landing Pad, Korriban

Kier said nothing in response to the pureblood overseer's words. Misery. Pain. Death. It was the way of the darkside. Checking his weapon worked, he switched it off and stowed it on his back. He began to walk towards the tomb, ready for anything. If others joined him, it would be their prerogative. He could see many initiates speaking with imperials, other sith task masters, carrying scanners and rushing on errands. He would find Spindral and either die permenantly (and blessedly) or succeed and go where the force willed.

Going with the flow, for now.

quote:

        Name: Kier Felsto
      • Race: Human

        Pre-Sith Academy
      • Background: Snipped
      • Class:Sith Warrior [+2]
      • Force Specialty: Power of Hatred [+2] - Keir's hatred fuels the dark side within him so much that he can sustain massive amounts of damage and still live (since the Force is life). Mortal, Incapacitated or Death blows dealt to him are treated as mere wounds. Whenever Keir uses this ability, all damage is removed from him, even though the wound is still there, but is no longer treated as an injury. This effect can be negated if his will is broken. More detailed explanation: Obviously whether it is a force-barrier or armor based thing or the aforementioned ability, it is a tanking Jug style stat. The flavor being this hate fueled healing. It is not immortality or invincibility. "Coming back" Michael Meyer style may not be timely nor accomplish the goal, but could make for some dramatic reappearances.
      • Force Drawback: Pain [-2] - Peace is a lie and Pain is eternal. Every bone broken, every wrong done to him all as fresh as the day it was visited upon his body and mind. It fuels him, it torments him. It can distract or derail him. The more he grows in power, the more he must seek clarity. For if he loses sanity, he will be no more than the wounded force-spawn beasts.
      • Reputation: Initiate [Neutral 0]
      • Ambition: Before they found him, before the Sith, all Keir knew was pain, loss, and misery. Then came the dark side. It was truth. He first visited this truth on those who he hated then upon those who did not understand. The republic and the jedi were hypocrites, liars, and unable to recognize the power of the darkside. Pain. He would remake and break the galaxy. It would burn and in the ashes, be reborn into a new sith creed. At least...if he survived the trials... Basically build a powerbase and raid the republic and turn people to the darkside

Katara Orono, Journey to the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

The scene with the woman resolved itself, her blubbering of thanks to Kolzaar was sickening. She overheard her saying her name, Mavis or something like that. Katara could sense that Mavis would barely qualify as sith. It was laughable. Did Kolzaar take pity on her? Was he too weak? No matter she made her way to the one she overheard the imperials calling Zef. Her introductions made, and keeping a watchful eye on Mavis she and the rest of the loosely aligned group distantly made their way to the tomb. Perfect to be ambu- . The crazed initiates leapt from concealed areas. Their robes were torn and they had many items on their persons that did not belong to them. Initiates that failed in their tasks were often heard of eking out an existence in the wilds and tombs of Korriban. The masters and lords left them, another challenge for initiates aspiring to be sith. With wild eyes, the leader of the dozen or so group pointed an old lightsaber hilt towards Katara and Zef. (The others were too far ahead). "Little sithling, little sith. Give us your stuff and we might let you live." The rest of the motley group had various training weapons, ancient sith blades pitted with rust and misuse, and in one case a large rock. They were oozing dark intentions though it was their own weakness in the darkside that led them to failure.

You don't detect Mavis' having a betraying intent. You catch up to Zef and while not allied, are with him when you both get jumped on the way to the tomb. There are about a dozen or so failed initiates demanding you give them your stuff!

Zef Arkada - Journey to the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban
"I've got a bad feeling about this."

The woman Kolzaar took under his wing blubbered thankfully and looked in awe of the kindness shown to her when Kolzaar gave her his other remaining weapon. As Zef followed Kolzaar and his follower Mavis at a distance, Zef was soon joined by Katara. There was some distance between the birdman and his newfound friend and Zef and Katara while the sands began picking up in the wind. It was then that Zef's premonition began tingling, the darkside warned him of an impending attack. The grouping appeared out of the sands, Their clothing tattered, equipment ill used, and holding many items not belonging to them. Zef felt that these initiates were failures, weak. But they had the numbers. It was the leader of this troupe that touched his senses. He was the threat. The man held out a looted lightsaber towards Zef and Katara, it was not ignited yet but would be a potent weapon against the training blades that Zef and Katara were carrying.

You and Katara are travelling behind the others to the tomb when you are jumped. There are about a dozen failed initiates demanding your supplies and stuff. The leader seems dangerous too your premonition.

Kolzaar Rathe -Journey to the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

The woman looked thankfully over Kolzaar's perceived kindness. She picked up the weapon and dried her tears. "I'm Mavis. I wasn't meant for something like this. I'll help you since you helped me." The pair of you set off without an issue. It wasn't long before you both came into sight of the Tomb. Outside lay a wounded imperial soldier from the reclamation service. As you both approached he coughed. "Listen, and listen well. Within the surrounding area outside the tomb there are fierce monsters. The Klor Slugs usually aren't a problem but something has stirred them up. Its as if they are in a frenzy. My team and I were supposed to bring back a few artifact caches for Lord Opulace. I know you are busy initiates, but if you find these caches befor you enter the tomb and bring them here I can reward you with some of these writings of Marka Ragnos our team found inside." Mavis looked at you. This could prevent you even needing to go into the tomb to look. But its could be more or less dangerous. Mavis hopefully asked. "What do you want to do Kolzaar?"

You have found an imperial in need of help. He can reward you of course.

Bikke - Entrance, Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

A few malfunctioning droids had gotten in Bikke's way but otherwise the trip was slightly uneventful. He had gotten here ahead of some of the others, but there must have been more before him as there were corpses everywhere. The darkside was stronger inside than the sands of Korriban outside. Bikke couldn't shake the feeling he was being watched by some entity or force as he made his way inside. Several crates were overturned, and it looked like other attempts had been made to gather artifacts in the past. He would have to look and avoid the beasts and other dangers while he tried to locate the required writings.

A mostly uneventful trip, you have entered the tomb. You get the creepy feeling some force or being is watching you. There are signs that others have been chased off or attacked and killed by something.

Bikke - Entrance, Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

Bike kept a watchful eye as he walked through the tomb. No one presented themselves but he could feel presences. Suddenly the larval monsters that plagued the world of Korriban burst forth in ambush. Slathering and running towards you to defend their nests which they had made conveniently (or not). In the area. There were four of the creatures, not so much a match for a warrior but for an inquisitor they might rough him up a bit. Behind the creatures were eggs, but beyond that a door. The sith glyphs at a glance looked old and it seems it had been overlooked...

A door! and slugs! And they're hungry/angry!

Katara Orono & Zef, Journey to the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

As the Battle Meditation flowed over Katara and Zef, the group tensed. They were force sensitive after all. The offer of Zef's cold hard cash made a few of them hesitate but the leader shouted. "Fools! Its a trick, the planet is blockaded! We'd never live to spend it." He ignited the lightsaber and its sickly yellow glow bathed his face in a sinister light. Tiny sparks of lightning played around his hands, but this sorcerer was weak. He raised it and screamed "attack!"

A few things happened at this point. Some of the gang paused, not knowing what to do. Two of them ran. The others approached cautiously, the effects of the Battle Meditation giving Zef and Katara a capable look as they advanced as one towards the group. The leader faltered if only for a moment. Hefting his light saber to reassure himself as he strode towards the two of you.

Katara threw a small boulder towards one of the rear most, caving in the girl's skull. Zef dodged the clumsy strike of the leader with the skill of someone who was one with the force and knocked the man off balance with a strike from his training weapon to the back. There were 7 of the little gang leftover and they were regaining confidence. The man screamed in rage and two others did the same, gainining power and soon the others charged in towards the two of you.

Combat! Some ran, one died, the other 7 including the leader are coming in for the kill. Battle Meditation coupled with Precognition is making Zef very hard to hit. However if Katara continues to watch from the sidelines, Zef might just get hurt.

Kolzaar Rathe - Journey To The Tomb Of Marka Ragnos - Korriban

The soldier whimpered. "P-p-p-please. There are some in the case over there." He pointed with a shaking hand. "What are you doing!?" Mavis cried. The answer confused her. She dutiful gathered the scrolls, Kolzaar's pack-mule apparently. Mavis bit her lip and mouthed the words 'I'm sorry' to the fallen imperial. The man groaned but shook his head at the young woman. He knew the ways of the sith. They could be very cruel masters, even to representatives & functionaries of the imperial military. She gathered the scrolls in the case, and a few more just in case they were important. She didn't loot the man though, probably because she feared to do so.

Kier saw that his compatriots and the troopers seemed to have everything in hand. The hordes were the problem due to their numbers. The broodmother was a single target for their imperial "horde". His body rippled in pain and suffering. The dark side was close. Spindral was close. Turning from the group Kier went deeper into the tomb, he would either succeed or his existence would end. Either way, he would know.

Bikke - Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban
Bikke's lightning forced many of the creatures to flee. Others rolled their eye stalks and charged. The lightning wouldn't come! He almost panicked but pushed all of the fear of dying and anger at these creatures into killing them. Suddenly and uncontrollably. The lightning came. Sparks and bolts flew outward white and purple, the darkside cooking the creatures as they shrieked. But the lightning kept coming after they died. It came from his eyes, his hands, and his body. It blasted the stone door and shattered it. Tired, Bikke slumped to the floor, the tiny sparks and bits of static chasing into the stonework.

A slow clapping happened behind Bikke. It was the Zabrak. "Nice work. Fool." He kicked Bikke in the side several times. "Don't fear." He said as he smiled. "I won't kill you, against the rules. But the overseer might. Thanks for the scrolls." He laughed as he unsheathed his weapon and made his way into your discovery. It was several moments before Bikke caught his breath. The exertion of the sith technique had unleashed a lightning storm. He could still catch the other rotten apprentice. The rules said no killing. Only if they could prove it.

Eh you rolled real bad. But decided to do something cool with a twist with it vs you get maimed by trash mobs.

Kolzaar Rathe - Journey To The Tomb Of Marka Ragnos - Korriban
Mavis nodded and followed Kolzaar obediently. Casting one last look at the soldier. The return was uneventful. The overseer stood nearby his desk in his office. "Ah you are back. We will wait for the others before determining who will progress and who will..." he chuckled darkly. "Feed the sithspawn." He looked at Kolzaar and Mavis. "You can ask me a few questions while we wait. If you are so inclined."

You made it back. First! You can ask the overseer questions while others will not get the chance!

Katara Orono & Zef Arkada Journey to the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban
With Katara's battle meditation and the Raw fury of Zef. The underlings fell into each other and many of their injuries took them out of the fight. Many were left unconscious or groaning. The leader slashed with fury but not much finesse. His weapon a greater threat than the man. The blades locked and he snarled into Zef's face before pushing back from him. His strikes were vicious but predictable. With another pass and crossing of swords, Zef struck the leader down. The light saber fizzled out and rolled on the sand between Katara and Zef. The remaining disgraced members of the gang soon began to stir and would awaken to fullness soon.

Combat won. Kill your enemies or let them attack you again? Y/N?

Kier Felsto - Tomb of Ajunta Pall, Korriban

Spindral chat:
“So, it seems Amdis has sent yet more novices to pester me.” The man calls out. “You, come up here so I can get a better look at you.”

When you approach he looks you over, despite his age there is something piercing to his gaze, as though he was seeing right into your soul. “Yesss… you are an interesting one, interesting indeed. Are you trying to die, Initiate, because I could be persuade to grant such a wish. After all, the Sith have no use for one seeking only to die.”

Kier nodded in acknowledgement of the statement, neither denying nor confirming it as he suspected Spindral knew the truth: That the force would guide Kier just as it put Spindral in this place.
“I do not seek death wise one. The path before me is set. Pain and Power to shatter the chains of fate. At least, I believe so.” Kier feared pain less and death even less than that. For it was a constant companion ever since those early days.

“Hmmm… A good answer. There is the makings of much power in you, if you can resist the urge for dissolution. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. It seems you understand this well, but whether you truly grasp the rest of the Code only time will tell. Enough prattle. You can return to your master with my approval.”

Kier was only slightly surprised he got Spindral’s approval, however it wasn’t his place to question the wisdom of the much older sith. He bowed to the sage and left before Spindral could reconsider or decide to enact his earlier threat. Spindrel didn’t look like a whimsical sith, but the whims of some dark side practitioners were legendary in some cases. Kier didn’t discount the practicing dangerous followers of Spindral around him either, not until he had truly left them behind. As he was leaving he avoided the confrontation the other supplicant, Vor'drosai was engaged in. It was obvious they were being baited by them. They likely were trying to get Spindral’s favor by taking Vor’drosai’s place. Kier felt a trickle and a slight tickling of his senses on his way out. Good for Vor, he thought. If you wanted to make enemies, it paid to go big even if Keir could smell his fear from where he stood.

Kolzaar Rathe - Overseer's Chambers - Korriban

Talco raised an eyebrow "W-hat?!" His lightsaber ignited and it seemed he was barely containing himself from killing you. That was how disappointed and...angry he was. "You have let me down, alien scum." With control and barely reigned in contempt, he put his lightsaber away. "A stupid, STUPID. Question. I should kill. YOU." A tic on his face twitched. Passing a hand over his eyes he glared at Kolzaar. "Why would I give any apprentice an advantage over any other? WHY would I give YOU information, you worthless, useless sack of alien bile! You are nothing! YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING! You are owed nothing! I expected questions about the next phase of the trials, sith doctrine, or how to gain more personal power! Not this blatant attempt by Darth Koltis' servants to DOUBT MY LOYALTY to the sith order!" He crushed several containers with the force nearby you. "YOU ARE HIS PET!" He pointed an accusing finger at you. "But I cannot prove it." He said through gritted teeth. "You have wasted this opportunity. You are a blunt, stupid alien instrument. You should have found out about her and then eliminated her on your own. But you know we have rules against that, if you weren't a dumb alien brute you'd be able to work it out for yourself. Accidents happen, however one is about to happen to you!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G9wPAr3Sdw
Overseer Talco looked at Mavis. "Give me the scrolls." Mavis shot Kolzaar a hateful look, as his attempt to get her killed by questioning her presence in front of the overseer at the sith academy did not go unnoticed. Mavis handed Talco the scrolls and spoke out of hate and mostly fear. "The alien wanted to cheat. He asked me to share the scrolls I had found with it. I pitied it. But I see now it was a trick and it seeks to trick you, overseer. Here are the scrolls. The beast obviously failed. I see now that my mercy was weakness." She was able to deliver with a straight face.

Talco looked at Mavis. "I sense only some of what you told me is the entire truth. Do not seek to cloud my judgement or I will destroy you." Mavis shrunk back. She stammered. "No..overseer! It's true, just look at him. He's obviously got some scheme."

Talco looked to Kolzaar. "Well, alien. You have enraged me! Where are YOUR scrolls?"

Overseer Talco seems to think you are asking for an unfair advantage against a fellow initiate. He's obviously been on someone's radar for elimination. Giving you that advantage would have him exiled or worse. Also Mavis believes you tried to get her killed, so she has betrayed you. As she claimed the writings were all hers Overseer Talco wants you to produce separate ones or you need to explain yourself. Make it good.

Bikke - Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

The Zebrak moved through the tomb, slaying many slugs that had somehow burrowed through the cracks. The path was clear for Bikke and he was able to catch up. There were a few traps his enemy had forgotten to trigger, the blood trail not an indicator that the Zebrak was slowing down. If anything it seemed to infuriate him. It wasn't long before the tomb was in sight. Inside of the tomb was a large stone container. "At last!" Bikke's rival smashed through the locking mechanism as he took possession of one of the scrolls. He wasn't yet aware of Bikke but began to turn around. There wasn't any convenient hiding spots in the spartan tomb, Bikke could go back and wait to ambush him, or spring his surprise now.

You can surprise him here, or try elsewhere. He doesn't look tired.

Katara Orono, Journey to the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

The lightsaber entered Katara's grasp. Victory. Grim work completed and a confrontation averted, her offer of alliance stood in the air. Supplicants and apprentices often would team up over the others, and perhaps working together would prove fruitful. The entrance to the tomb was closer than expected, this was definitely a hotspot to potential raiders. Nearby an imperial soldier sat, injured and shaken looking.

You have gained a Lightsaber [+0] - This plasmatic laser sword is of a basic design. It can cut through many non-shielded or reinforced objects, unlike the "practice" weapon provided for initiates and sith supplicants.

Zef Arkada - Journey to the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

As Zef lost (purposefully[?]) the lightsaber, As for killing the fallen enemies at least Zef didn't look weak as Katara finished her work. The offer she made, made sense but did he want the entanglement? He began looting the bodies, one had a working thermal detonator and the other had a blaster, broken. Food, water, and various pieces of practice weapons and mundane blades were available. The sith ruins did have many years of history to loot. Did sith ever make anything new or were they always looting the tombs of the dead? Someone had to get or make the stuff to loot it right?

You have found a bunch of junk and a working Thermal Detonator.

Kier Felsto - Overseer's Office, Korriban

That the slaves chose now of all times to attack a Reclamation service team was suspect. What would slaves be doing attacking well armed imperials and for what reason? Surely there were easier targets. These thoughts and questions of course were of no consequence. "Of course, Overseer." Kier turned and left the overseer. Thinking on it. He went out into the Academy and past the large monolith in its center, down the grand stairway. There were many going about their tasks, imperial soldiers. Yes. Small patrols but Kier would only need a few. He would get a patrol to come with him, then lay in wait for the slaves to try and ambush the reclamation service. He and his small force would then ambush the ambushers. He approached the most likely looking group of soldiers, their job was security after all on Korriban. "You there, my master has news of impending doom. We must act quickly, or the lives of your fellow imperial soldiers will be lost."

'Hey you there, whatever it was you were doing now we're doing this!' Its such a swtor thing to do, hoping to 2d6 roll at [+0] to convince this group to come along and help ambush the bushwackers. That someone on a mission for a sith is posing it as 'caring' about imperial soldiers living or dying should hopefully mean something. Even if it may or may not be true. If the roll goes badly, then proceeding onto just ambushing them alone.

Zef Arkada - Journey to the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

The solider gave Zef his thanks. "Thank you, sith." He grimaced. Still sore from his injuries but not as badly damaged as before. "I was robbed by one of your fellow initiates, my mates are likely dead. However for your kindness I and the reclamation service have a small amount of discretionary funds. I will send them when we are finished here. Even though your fellows took the writings of Marka Ragnos from me, I will tell you what we were researching here. There is rumored to be a secret passageway that leads to a sith datacron, dated from the times before Marka Ragnos. Plunder from his enemies or perhaps found from an earlier time. In any case, this might be even more valuable to your masters. I have marked it on your map, be careful though. There are rumors of traps and dark guardians." The man laid back to rest.

Katara Orono, Outside the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

Katara chose to not give in to her darker urges and hurt the soldier to get what she wanted. Letting Zef use his gentler touch. A sane response in an insane universe of sith, masters and slaves. The man was thankful to them both, though it was Zef that did most of the work.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hZxf3M9QqA

As she took the time to examine the lightsaber she could see that while old, the design was quite serviceable. This Kyber crystal had once been a light side crystal but slowly corrupted and nurtured by the darkside from white & into its yellow state. It had a kind of deadman's switch, presumably so that if the holder fell unconscious or the saber was taken from the user's grip the blade would switch off when released. A handy safety feature as well as a functional design.

An Imperial's gratitude. Examination: The blade has the atypical yellow coloring Katara came to expect from a sith light saber. The crystal was a natural one that was changed to the darkside. Rare these days as most crystals were grown for darkside use. It was old but not ancient. Serviceable and functional. The deadman's switch was a handy feature. It could of course be tinkered with, increasing the capabilties of the user with better components. It was modular after all.

Bikke - Hidden Chamber, Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

The Zebrak clutched at his chest and turned towards Bikke with fury in his eyes. He gritted his teeth and snarled in anger, pain, and hatred. "I should have killed you." He unsheathed his training weapon and unsteadily began stalking towards Bikke. Draining the life out of his enemy, Bikke could feel him weakening. He had to keep it up but probably should also defend himself. "I'll kill you. Make it look like one of the others did it." He grunted and panted in exertion and pain. He would not last long if he did not do something. Screaming a warcry, the warrior to be charges you. "Dieeee!"

He's not going to last long if he lets you have your way. Which is why he's bum rushing you. Do you pour on the power or abandon your effort? He's currently 50% across the chamber and is coming closer.

Kolzaar Rathe - Overseer's Chambers - Korriban

Spittle and spite flying from his mouth with every word. "A transparent. Lie." His lips curl in a sneer. The overseer's lightsaber takes off your right wing before you can even register the act. He then strikes down Mavis, who witnessed the event, her head hitting the floor. "You dare. Challenge. Me. Fool!" Falling to your knees, Talco towers over you. "Darth Koltis is a spymaster. He never would have one of his even admit to that. EVER! You would have done better to beg me not to kill you." He raised the lightsaber to decapitate you.Anger radiating off him in waves, before the sound of someone clearing their voice interrupted him.

A feminine cough, the Miraluka woman walked over from the doorway. "I do not mean to presume to tell you your business, Overseer Talco." She said Overseer slightly, derisively. "However, I do not wish for your...lack of control to damage the plans my master has made. Nor deprive the four any potential apprentices." She smiled at Kolzaar.

Overseer Talco's lightsaber turned off with a snick. He had gone as white as a sheet. "Lord A-gon. Please. I...of course I wouldn't dream of killing any of your, or the four's potential apprentices. I was merely." He looked at Kolzaar slyly. "Correcting, the initiate. For you see this one." He pointed to the dead Mavis. "Had taken the alien's scrolls. Due to his lack of hands and there being a teachable moment of the darkside, I corrected both initiates and the problem of him being unable to wield a lightsaber or use tools."

Lord A-gon smiled wistfully. "Ah, I remember when I was once a simple initiate. Those were exhilarating times. This went just as I had envisioned it. Confirming my visions will make my master very happy." She looked down to you. "Go to the medical bay, I have had them prepare a limb for you to replace the one you lost. It is not given lightly, and I expect...less clumsy things from you. Blade, Savage, Venger and I are watching. Always when you least expect us. Our master will always expect the best from us and so we also expect the best in return from you." After turning her head slightly to Talco, she nods and then takes her leave of both of you.

Suddenly you feel the force gripping your throat as Talco lifts you from the ground. He wasn't even straining with his outstretched hand holding you there, helpless. "Listen to me, you deformed thing. You will go to the medical bay and get fitted with the arm. You will not speak of this. EVER. Now, get out of my sight." He released you and stalked back into his internal office within his chambers, the door sliding shut silently. The shock of losing your wing gives you a sort of calm when looking at the cauterized stump where your shoulder ended. The use of cybernetics and prosthetics among the sith was quite common, though the quality could differ.

The roll failed not your strategy. It was very possible to bluff Overseer Talco about Darth Koltis. You can get your new shiny tin man arm now! Also you met someone!

Zef Arkada -Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

Zef entered through a fissure in one of the rock walls, it would seem that time and some geologic activity in the past had cleared and split the way into a previously unknown part of the tomb. The dark side always unearthed its secrets. Always. Statues of grim faced sith of the past, perhaps defeated enemies lined the walls, the curving halls and way forward eventually opened into a wider area. The big open space was circular and carvings and ancient writings lined the walls. This must have been a retainer of Marka Ragnos', someone important to his cause perhaps? Some ancient mechanisms gleaned a dark metal grey on the large slabs over three massive sarcophagi. The carved figures were strange on each one. One had a blank smooth surface where its mouth should be, another was missing its eyes, the last was missing ears. Each one's face was in a rictus of horror, the artists and stone carvers capturing some of the raw emotion of each figure beyond death. The writings around the chamber seemed to faintly be bioluminescent, they seemed familiar or almost like you could read them...You felt connected to this place, not a vision per se but a feeling that came from the force.

You have avoided the traps and several ancient droid assassins on your way into the tomb, your foresight allowing you to take the right path to here. Now. The place seems genuine and untouched.

Katara Orono, Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

In the near darkness, Zef almost unerringly would change direction, pause and then continue almost seemingly at random. The journey was quite uneventful actually. You almost couldn't believe how lucky you both were. As you came into the burial chamber, you could see faintly glowing sith writings and feel the dark side here. Its presence was most strong and centered around the three sarcophagi in the middle of the chamber. Several of the ancient words were familiar to you such as danger, revenge, unworthy, and kill. Whatever was housed here, it had to be good. With the place relatively untouched for untold time, it would have to pay off.

You conceal the lightsaber but encounter no traps or resistance and find yourself in the tomb. While not a receiver of force visions like Zef, you have your own connection to the darkside and knowledge that gives you a slightly different perspective here.

Bikke - Hidden Chamber, Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

"Raaaaar!" The warrior growled as he almost drunkenly swung his training weapon at Bikke. You blocked it almost contemptuously as you stuck at the initiate's leg, he fell to the ground screaming as you continued to pull and impose your will upon his life force. The screams faded to groans, then weak moans. His hand scrabbled at the dirt in front of you, he lifted his head and then his body to his knees and grabbed for his training weapon. "No, you will be...punishe-" And began to swing. However it was at this point that you caught his wrist in your grip and lifted him until his feet were dangling off the ground. His eyes bulged and he grasped at his throat as you released him and held him there with the force. It was like he couldn't believe how you, a weak bodied sorcerer was able to do this. But Bikke knew, he had weakened the warrior while also using his vitality to boost his own health and strength. The earlier damage Bikke had suffered was forgotten and he luxuriated in pure power. The struggles and kicks from the Zebrak initiate grew weaker and weaker and then Bikke felt a rush as he died. The scrolls rolled out of the dead man's pack as you threw the body to lie in a heap in the corner. The occupied corner. The wide eyed hanger on who had left with the Zebrak had fallen onto his backside and was shaking his head back and forth. "Who- who are you? How are you so powerful?" He said in fear. It radiated off of him, out of control. The man's discarded weapon sat next to him, apparently he was going to strike you from behind while you were occupied with his friend.

You have restored your vitality, killed your rival, and now see he had a pet. Good job!

Kolzaar Rathe - Journey To The Medical Center - Korriban

You limp from the room, a servant or cleaning droid would be by to clean up your mess. The unblinking eyes of Mavis stared sightlessly at nothing at all. Most gave you a wide berth. Cutting off a limb meant you had suffered for some crime or mistake from a true sith, not just a lowly initiate. Kolzaar did catch sight of Lord A-gon. However she was talking with a Darth that most knew very well in Imperial Space. Darth Charnus.

They were speaking in low tones but your heard the word "Revanite" and "-ummond Kas" as you walked your way to the medical bay. You could go over and see what they're talking about, or continue on your way.
You have found A-gon.

Bikke - Hidden Chamber, Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

As Bikke and his new follower search the tomb, they soon find a set of light saber parts and a few incomplete ones. As they take inventory there is enough for a single double bladed saber or two blades. However one thing that is lacking, are the crystals. These could be procured through the academy or one of the shadier merchants who were not supposed to deal in such things but had them, as a side deal. 'Having the best hardware, for the best prices'. It wouldn't take much persuading. However Bikke had a bit of a credit flow problem at the moment.

You have found Lightsaber Parts. Enough to build a single double saber, or two individual sabers. They do not have crystals, which are needed for operation. However there are a few ways to get them, as described above. Or you could steal them.

Kolzaar Rathe - Journey To The Medical Center - Korriban

Kolzaar's feeling that approaching a Sith Lord or even a Darth without a good reason likely would have ended in his death was a strong one, and a correct one. As Kolzaar entered the medical facility, he was greeted by a gruff sith and his slave dr-helper. "Ah, just the one I was waiting for. Your betters have decided to give you a second chance, so to speak. It would be death in the trials missing an arm like that. Get up on the table. This might pinch a bit."

The pain was unbelievable but also a lesson in itself. Everything was some kind of teachable moment in the dark side here on Korriban. When the deed was done, Kolzaar flexed his new limb. It was more than functional, it was...perfect.

There were three possibilities here. Junk arm, perfectly good arm, and clawed fear arm.

Zef Arkada -Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

Zef received a vision. Three servants there were. Three had betrayed Marka Ragnos. They were brought here for punishment. They were wrapped and bound in cloth, unable to free themselves as one by one they were lowered into the coffins. They could be heard screaming as the mechanical devices whirred and hydraulic pistons sealed them shut. One of the sith imprisoning the captives inserted the holocron into the center coffin and then the muffled screams really began as the coffins locked within.

Eyes suddenly opened and wide. Zef looked at the coffins. The force had kept them alive or something nearing that. He shuddered,

Holocron is at the head of the middle coffin.

Katara Orono, Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

Katara kept a safe distance from the coffins, noticing the holocron taking a place of prominence at the head of the middle coffin. As she walked around the room she noticed a few stone slabs that could possibly be doors to alcoves or other rooms. They didn't have any means of opening from this side. They likely could be traps or contain ancient guardian droids. Behind one of the doors she sensed some force energy. Not light, not dark. Interesting. If only they knew how to trigger it.

Katara Orono & Zef Arkada Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

Katara's lightsaber glows at the ready. As Zef reached out with the force and began to pick the locks the lids on all three coffins slid open soundlessly. Within the first coffin was a desiccated corpse, the third coffin was empty perhaps the user had found a way to become one with the force long ago? Within the center coffin lay a figure covered in sith cybernetics and dark clothing. Its pale skin and face were gaunt but the figure was clearly fed by the darkside as the purple veins and eyes opened revealing their red and almost jaundiced nature. The bindings that had held it in torture and torment had gone brittle and it ripped them off with a snap. Sitting up as the holocron drifted into Zef's hands, the figure turned its head towards Katara and Zef and its eyes narrowed. "Who are you?!". The darkside radiated off the figure as hatred, pain, and its passions flooded the room.

You got the holocron! Also meeting new friends or enemies perhaps!

Kolzaar Rathe - Sith Armory - Korriban

The sith armory was protected by two figures in red armor, imperial guard. As you approach them one demands. "Halt. Alien. The Dark council does not let mere initiates into the armory without explicit orders. Who are you and why are you here? Who is your overseer?"

You could go into the armory or you could relieve some other apprentice of the weapon, or perhaps ask the overseer nicely now that you have a new arm!

Bikke - Overseer Talco's Office, Korriban

Talco beckoned to Bikketo approach. "Good. For an alien. Now let me see." He examined the scrolls. "Hmm...a few new scrolls and repeats of some of the older writings. Lord A-gon...will be...pleased." He said satisfactorily. "Your other fellow apprentices have not returned. Did you happen to see any of them in the tomb?" Talco asked innocuously, a knowing smile at the corners of his mouth. As he waited for your answer the other apprentice entered and gave Talco his portion of the scrolls. "Excellent! All of these are new. I see great things for you initiate." He turned back to Bikke. "Both of you have done well, you have my praise. I will gather you all...those that lived. Back here. You will be summoned. Until then you may explore the temple, and perhaps study in the library." There were shops and vendors of various scavenged artifacts and weapons as well but the overseer did not need to mention this. That your servant had been luckier than you with the scrolls grated on you but there was nothing to be done for it now. Both of you were free for the time being to perhaps construct those lightsabers. If you could get the materials or credits for them...

You new minion is a warrior, he doesn't have a special force talent or specialty like you and the others. He is strong and will follow you who is the stronger. He grew up on tatooine from a family of traders.

Kolzaar Rathe - Sith Armory - Korriban
Kolzaar meekly asked for a training weapon from the two guards. One of them laughed. "Be right back, initiate. We were just funning with you." The imperial guards were no joke, that they took the time to be humorous with you spoke that they saw your limb. The sign of a warrior's respect. The one who jibbed with you gave you something. A vibroblade instead of a mere training weapon. "Try to keep this one, unlike your arm." He said warmly as he slapped you on the side playfully.

Given weapon, you make your way back to Overseer Talco's office. He's sitting behind his desk reading.

-= Your servant sent on shaking down newer initiates he would return to you later in the day with a not quite small but not quite large pile of credit chips. =- GM: Basically you sent him away to sell junk and get creds he will be back at the end of the update. =-

As Bikke begins his studies in the library, he finds writings by Lord Shalath about Shadow Spawn and Sith Spawn. The research was quite illuminating. He found himself absorbed in his studies until his servant appeared with handfuls of credit chips. "Some of the other classes of initiates didn't need these no more." He said with a toothy and predatory smile. "Better they go to a sith (meaning Bikke) who can actually use them." The credits would be enough to complete the light sabers if they visited the right *ahem* vendor selling such things. There also was the sith armory which would definitely have the parts. The credits could bribe someone to let Bikke in...

You gain Darkside-Lifecraft [+0], begining a rudimentary understanding of manipulation beyond a mere, initiate. This is apprentice level knowledge, which can be used to sap a foe DoT style or make people go unconscious.

Zef Arkada & Katara Orono -Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban
"Academy? At the seat of the Sith Empire? What of Yavin?" The figure says. "Who am I? Why can I not remember?" The ancient sith looked around the tomb. You suddenly saw the back of the figure's head. It was missing that part of the skull, the indentation showed a concave missing portion that had been fitted with sith technology and a metal plate to keep the user alive as long as possible and to keep the stem of the brain going. Whoever wanted to torture this individual wanted it to go on beyond memory and time. It quickly looked back to Zef and Katara. Seeing her lightsaber it contained death in its eyes as its own lightsaber ignited...before the look faded. Then it put it away. "I don't know why but I should be angry. The force sustains me." It said this through a heavy rebreather mask, its voice almost robotic. " Within the sarcophagus were hundreds of small appendages with implements of both torture and medical preservation. Whoever this used to be, mentally, they were gone now. Skills remained to the figure though. "Which one of you awoke me?" It asked quietly. Dangerously? Or...?

He doesn't remember who he is, lots of it is bionic and cyborg as is traditional in sith when damaged. He is a warrior for certain, the others...the decomposition is too much to tell. Whoever he or she was, you know that they were powerful enough to challenge Marka Ragnos but not powerful enough to defeat him.

Kier nodded. No getting inside without more problems. The tomb would have to wait. "Very good then, I and a fellow initiate will assist if you are targeted by these rebel slaves. Failure unfortunately is not an open." Kier thought about this and added. "Neither is death." As he felt that dark emotion once again as his cells were charged with the darkside. His veins pulsed and were again still as he shuddered against the unnatural feeling that was happening with more and more frequency. There would be no real answers here either and Kier hoped that Vor had better luck. Kier went back to the meeting place where he would meet Vor, he sat and began meditating on the darkside.

The man nods and smiles. "Clever idea, I never would have thought of that." He went off to procure them with the ill gotten loot. He returned a while later with two small red crystals. "These should do the trick." He handed them over, quite satisfied with himself. The process to finish construction of the sabers was readily taught and available, all Bikke needed to do was finish them and distribute...

The merchant's son succeeded, you now have two crystals.

Zef Arkada & Katara Orono - Tomb of Marka Ragnos, Korriban

Sorken gave a slight bow. "I will wait elsewhere while you both go onto the next phase of your trials."

In the overseer's office Talco was waiting stenly for you to all arrive.

Gesturing to the robed Bikke and his lacky Talco speaks to Zef and Katara. "WELL? I'm waiting! Already some of you have already completed their first mission for their trials." He held his hand out, expecting scrolls. "The bird-thing hasn't returned, hopefully it is dead or has fled in disgrace. Which of you will have the dishonor of falling to my blade?" He looks at Katara especially hard, his eyes finding the lightssaber on her belt.

A chance to surprise with a gift?

Bikke - Library, Korriban

The lightsabers connect and work with a hiss. The ill gotten gains from looting and the spoils of war combining into a deadly set of weapons. Returning to the overseer's office, you arrive before the other hopefuls and get to watch them be berated by the overseer for their lateness. The faint praise he sends you and your minion's way for being the first is grudging but there is a tone of respect there. Likely they don't have any scrolls. You don't sense them. Your minion gives you a slight nod, then gestures towards Katara. A lightsaber on her belt catches your eye. It would seem the tombs yielded some treasures to her as well. You could interrupt Talco and ask for your next task. But could you pass up the opportunity to gloat over your fellow initiates?

"Interesting." Overseer Talco mused as he touched the holocron. "One we have not seen before..."

Zef Arkada - Overseer's Office, Korriban

"Good work." Talco said simply. Zef felt a tension ease within him he didn't realize he felt. Talco was smiling at you. The man never smiled. You felt that maybe Talco would get more out of this than mere praise. The thought rankled within you, before you realized the man exected nothing from your compatriot. A big prize indeed.

Sharing the credit, the prize is so large that Talco forgets to ask Katara for anything.

Katara - Overseer's Office, Korriban

Talco seems to forget about you, staring intently at the object you and Zef had brought to him. You feel that not bringing your own object or scrolls would have resulted in something terrible happening. Luckily your soft hearted friend Zef remembered to include you charitably.

Interest check for you Gruntythurst.

Bikke - Overseer Talco's Office, Korriban

Your subordinate kept quiet, as did you. Talco seemed utterly fascinated and absorbed with the holocron. Nearly forgetting all of you. It rankled. Tugged at your patience. When it became clear that everyone who was here, were all that would be here and the others were probably dead or missing...the culling process of the sith was brutal as expected. Talco suddenly seemed to remember you all were here.

Scowling Overseer Talco took in the room harshly, putting the holocron away. "Good. All of you lived." He sniffed as if smelling something unpleasant. "Even the alien." He smirked then got serious again. "I cannot deny results. Nor can the emperor." He began to pace in front of the group. "Lord A-gon has intimated to me that some of you are of interest to her. Why I shall never know. Her kind often receives visions and are connected to the force. In any case welcome to the next stage of your trials. Your next mission, is to assist Lord Abaron on a matter of utmost importance to the Sith and the Academy. His mission is secret, and he will inform me if you fail. Come back from him successful or do not return at all!" Talco finished, he then sat behind his desk and began examining the holocron again.

It would seem, you all were dismissed.

Lord Abaron
Species: Sith Pureblood
Gender: Male
Hair color: Dark brown
Eye color: Red
Skin color: Red

A descendant of the original Sith species, working as an agent of both the Sith Emperor and the Empire's ruling Dark Council, Lord Abaron rose to prominence in the reconstituted Sith Empire during the cold war with the Galactic Republic. Working for the Dark Council his accomplishments: -=Redacted=-

Bikke + Minion & Zef Arkada - Lord Abaron's Office, Korriban

Bikke's research showed that Lord Abaron had been most active on Korriban. His concerns with the academy and that he reported to the Emperor and Dark Council. As to what those missions were, and their success that was sealed due to Imperial Intelligence reasons. What he did know was that Lord Abaron was heavily involved in intelligence on Korriban, well respected and... a Sith Supremacist.

Lord Abaron greeted and bade Zef to wait. As Bikke entered, minion in tow. Lord Abaron smiled.

"Ah! So. Yet another acolyte stands in the shadow of our Academy. You must consider yourself privileged." When it was clear that no other acolytes were coming he began his briefing. "There is a concern. Among those of the council that not only are we inundated with the impure and the weak but traitors to the Emperor as well." He paced about in his office. "Not only this, but we have intelligence that these traitors are communicating with the republic and the jedi for unknown reasons. We have narrowed it down to four potential thin-bloods. But only one of them is actually a traitor, the rest...weak."

A holoscreen showed the targets. Each one an Overseer: Sith Inquisitor Arzanon, Sith Lord Solence and Lord Cestus, and Sith Overseer Ragate

"The traitor will be identified and handed to us, the others...we will see if they keep their positions." Lord Abaron handed three sith holocrons (one to each of you). "These will scan their blood and show their worthiness to the council to maintain their positions, additionally you will need to find out which one of them is an actual traitor. My agents would handle this, however their faces are known. Your relatively unknown faces and names is an asset here and to us. Your own survival to get this far speaks to your resourcefulness and cunning."

Lord Abaron studied each of you carefully. then nodded his approval. "If there are any questions, ask them now before your mission. Work together or alone, as always success is rewarded with more opportunities."

Zef Arkada - Lord Abaron's Office, Korriban

Lord Abaron nodded at Zef's request. "Of course we have information, most is just their normal duties. One would not be a good spy or traitor if it were obvious to mere field agents. I caution each of you that until proven guilty that these sith lords have the position and all of the power that implies. So do be careful on whom you accuse and how you acquire the information."

The holo-projector shows the following profiles:

Lord Arzanon
A male Human Sith Inquisitor of the reconstituted Sith Empire during the Cold War.
Head of security at the Sith Academy,
Outwardly loyal, however was seen talking with unknown persons in the dark of night.
A hidden allegiance?

Lord Solence
A male Human Sith Lord of the reconstituted Sith Empire.
Overseer of Sith Academy on Korriban.
Students and acolytes have been successively weaker each "graduation". Also in recent years two of his former students have defected to the republic and jedi order.
Purposeful failure? Or Incompetence?

Lord Cestus
Overseer of the Korriban Sith Academy during the Cold War against the Galactic Republic.
A mediocre yet ambitious overseer, several sith artifacts have been broken or destroyed shortly after being collected by acolytes under his tutelage. There is a pattern of this behavior,
Does he wish to keep these ancient secrets for himself? Or is there another purpose and power behind the destruction?

Overseer Ragate
A self proclaimed guardian of the "ancient traditions". She supervises the test of many acolytes to prove their worthiness. More than a few members of the dark council question if she has killed those worthy (and under their patronage) not because they were unfit but other suspicious reasons...
Is she a champion of the ancient traditions of the sith? Or is she a force for the even more ancient tradition of the like of Kel'eth Ur?

Bikke - Lord Abaron's Office, Korriban

Bikke poured over the available information. It would seem that Lord Abaron was a bit of sith supremacist. There were multiple writings from Abaron about many other sith of less than pure blood and that those so weakened were likely to be compromised . Each of the targeted sith were quite tame politically speaking within the empire, if one removed the petty rivalries. This could just be sith paranoia or a legitimate security concern. Another interesting thread of thought, what if one of Lord Abaron's own rivals had subverted his network and were trying to make him look bad. Each were possible, but none of the leads really traceable from the musty tomes and holocrons and databases of the library. This was a moving problem. Lord Abaron had an apprentice once who had tried to unseat his master, a Sith named Kaldar. After a failed attempt to murder his master and being badly burned and crippled, he had faded from sight making a name for himself on the outer rim as an assassin of some repute...

False flag? Strawman? Or legit? This might need some surveillance.

Zef Arkada - Lord Abaron's Office, Korriban

Lord Abaron watched as Bikke and his minion left the room then answered Zef's question. "Packets of data were sent and retrieved. Encrypted. These sent to a stealthy ship in low orbit. What they contained is unknown. The methods used were hypercoms. As far as who could be recieving them, it could be Jedi, or the Republic. If we knew that, we wouldn't be needing you to find out. If our own intel resources are comprimised you all represent the best chance to find out." The words faded into the background as Zef concentrated and reached out with the force to determine his own path. The burst was short, the vision fuzzy. He saw that if he somehow made it to that ship in space, there would be a battle. Much death. But also answers. Zef's meditations were soon interrupted by a loud boom as Katara made her entrance. Lord Abaron looked irritated then looked to Zef. "You are dismissed. I will deal with this one."

Katara Orono - Lord Abaron's Office, Korriban

Bikke and his lackey were gone, and Zef dismissed. It would seem Katara was quite alone with Lord Abaron. "Ah, so the initiate finally decides to grace us with her presence. I am SOooo impressed." HIs tone of voice was anything but. He tossed Katara a holocron. "Use this to scan the [list of targets] , find out [briefing on possible traitor]." Lord Abaron looked at Katara doubtfully that she could tie her own shoes, let alone complete the mission. "A word of advice, thin-blood. Yes I can smell it on you. Your own weakness coupled with your lack of commitment to the sith cause and purity will see you undone before graduation into our ranks." He smiled though. "If interested though, I could introduce you to someone stronger in the bloodline, the offspring you'd produce would be more powerful than you could possibly imagine." He waved dismissively. "Come see me in my private chambers if you are interested in a side mission, the sith bloodline must be kept strong."

You get the info packet everyone else got, you can ask a question or go forth and conquer. Also, a creepy sith side mission where you become a mother to a powerful sith offspring! Bioware flavored. Its not a shocking collar for your slav-romantic interest but since its canon you get the first romance offer of the game!

Zef Arkada - Market, Korriban
Sorken met Zef outside. Not saying a word. He fell into line. The mission forgotten for now, you enter a small makeshift cantina with a few games of chance. Pazzak was the most favorite game going on. There were many force users as well as imperial players. In several corners sat ysalamir in the potted trees there. LIkely to prevent cheating. If Zef was going to make his money he would do it the old fashioned way. As he bid the thermal detonator, no one blinked an eye. Many hands and cards changed around and soon Zef found himself winning a not so small pile of credits. A few thousand. Zef could press his luck further at some of the more advanced tables or take his winnings while they were good. Sorken seemed interested in the games, but didn't have much input.

A decent amount of winnings, nothing huge but a few thousand credits for your time.

Katara Orono - Lord Abaron's Office, Korriban
"A pity." Siad Lord Abaron as Katara declined his offer and left. As Katara entered the medical station, she saw that the trooper was laying in bed recovering from his wounds. He groaned. No kolto tanks for the non elites it would seem. He opened ones eye and looked at you. "Sith, to what do I owe a visit from one of you?" He smiled. There was some genuine warmth in it.

Bikke - Sith Academy, Korriban
Bikke and his minions got various servants of various levels in the households. Most were ignorant and mind wiped, as most slaves and servants weren't usually allowed into their master's plans. The scanners could be used at a distance or in casual conversation on their targets. Each of the targets had times of "privacy" where they could not be disturbed. Possibly meditation or for something else? The few apprentices assigned to each would be slightly more difficult to question. Lord Arzanon seemed to be meeting with a hooded figure, feminine in shape nightly. A tryst or something else? Lord Solence seemed to use many foot messengers rather than the holonet, which was odd. What couldn't he trust to mere communications alone? Lord Cestus often spent many hours in his office well beyond working hours, he could be heard talking. As if in a one sided conversation. Where your investigations met a wall were any observations of Overseer Ragate. She always seemed to face towards wherever you approached and seemed to be hiding a secret smile when it couldn't possibly be known she was being observed. It was your lackey who recieved a message from her, that if he or the one behind him wanted to meet you all could meet in the trial chambers she oversaw...

None of the servants are compromised and are mind wiped or silenced as necessary. But these are all force users you're looking into as well. You do get further in your investigations.

Bikke's henchman gathered several smaller specimens and once Bikke found a private space to get to work, began to get to the task at hand. The first few attempts were promising, each creature being crafted into a sith-spawn but not quite what he needed. Eventually Bikke could make the final batch do a few things. One would be to fly and attach one's self to a target's clothing. Next was, and this was most important, he could sense where his sithspawn were within quite a distance off. So Bikke himself would not need to be there. Bikke felt exhausted but his work was paying off. With this he could track people.

Success! With more skill and craft you will be able to craft better sithspawn. These will be able to be unleashed and live for around a week before dying and needing to be replaced.

Zef Arkada - Market, Korriban

Katara never showed. Sith aspirants disappeared all the time and no one would ever know her fate. Almost as if the force were guiding the man to him, Zef was approached by a shady looking mercenary. A man nearby kept saying, "I've got the best hardware, for the best prices." And it was hard to hear the shady looking captain. The man looked exasperated. "I SAID, YOU LOOKIN' FER A SHIP?". The man was captain of the Whiskeyrose, a sub-light freighter that made runs between different destinations on planet, and occasionally to ships in system. The man wasn't quite a mercenary but his crew looked like they could handle a bit of rough and tumble. Many had blasters and vibroblades and looked like they knew how to handle themselves.

The ship's captain and crew are at your disposal (not pictured).

We can roll on it if he doesn't want to and it does the other way.

"Vor, we can strike them now. Call in the reinforcements and potentially get more when we tell them we have more than a small uprising." The feeling of the darkside flowed through Kier. Angry and Hateful, it never went away. Just like his pain and suffering. He needed to inflict this damage. It took everything he had just to control himself.

Might be a tad unstable if we do more investigating, killing the slave will help.

Zef Arkada - [Lord Solence's or Lord Arzanon's contact?]'s Sith Destroyer - Orbit, Korriban

The ship is challenged but soon the officer on watch realizes that the captain is a fast friend, due to your force persuasion (sith inquisitor) and previous visits(your pirates). "Welcome back sir!" He says jovially after you and the crew had docked. Ordering the sith troopers to stand down guarding the hatchways; Sorken steps from the shadows behind a pair, clearly he had intended to stike them down. He growls. Nervously they shift away, not wanting to mess with a pair of sith. Again your force precognition and inquisitorial clouding makes them forget even this interaction. Its a stretch but between Sorken's stealthcraft and your abilities you only had to kill two cleaning crews and a droid. After walking the many hallways, eventually you found yourself inside the communications room. Sorken steps forward, distaste on his features. "I'm not a slicer..." He complains.

There is a risk, trying to find the information you seek. However this is the best place to get it, without seeking out the agents or persons meeting with Lord Arzanon.

The vessel is crewed by imperials, but that means nothing. You can hack the gibsons or go a more direct route.

Bikke - Sith Academy, Korriban

The courier soon walked through the academy. Visting the prisoner's pens and several shops. Your minion, whined a few times but a stern look silenced him. It may be time to look for better help soon. He was getting willful. Concentrating further the courier seemed to linger there. You had heard there was a jedi prisoner brought in for a Sith Warrior favored by one of the overseers. Also another interesting prisoner had been captured. One who was caught in the sith ruins. The courier soon made their way to a shuttle and out of your range. Both of your sithspawn's ability to communicate and your sensitivity through the force. Each time a courier came, a sith spawn was attached. It was always a different person.

The mysterious visitor was another matter. They went directly to the prisoner pens, then quickly to an imperial communications room within the academy. They too, soon took a shuttle and eventually the sithspawn out of your range. Eventually the mysterious visitor appeared as the sith spawn entered your awareness. It was always the same visitor. Every single time. Eventually they started alternating time between their runs and the cantina, before renting a room. Your sith spawn could in a basic way show that they were not moving for extended periods. So either meditating, or sleeping.

Your sith spawn are not yet detected. Information is yielded.

Jaff Hordo's rotund body chafed in his uniform. His mother had forced through her political connections (and that she was sith) a career in the imperial military for her non-force sensitive son. He ate too much, drank too much, and was always late. That he was given the job of archivist showed that while his superiors couldn't get rid of him, they also didn't want him harmed either. No one wanted Darth Kora's ire. None save for those who fled beyond the rim of the galaxy usually survived it.

As he hummed to himself holding a rather large sandwich, Jaff felt as if he had forgotten something important. Perhaps a condiment?

He entered the nave where you and Sorken lurked...

Your manservant, whom you never had learned his name. Grumbled as he went to fulfill your orders.

THROUGH STRENGTH, I GAIN POWER

True victory could only be achieved by demonstrating one's superior power, the master must fall to the apprentice, the apprentice if unworthy will fall to the master. One embodies the power of the dark side, and the other craves it. Sith could only advance if they grow strong enough. The holocrons danced in your mind, the writings of the greatest and most secret sith lore. But soon time ran short in the archives. As you researched on the will and passions of control and subjugation it soon became late and your servant did not return...

As Bikke rounds the corner for the prisoner's den, the light from the force screens illuminates the darkened room. Suddenly you can overhear two acolytes talking. "Vemrin, another one taken down by your true power." The first voice says in awe. They are standing over the corpse of your minion. The one called Vemrin speaks, "He was weak Dolgis, and should have gotten out of our way. Let any who dare to try against our might learn the same." There were other prisoners trying to look away from the scene. Or shrink away from the two sith and avoid notice. However one prisoner seemed to gaze at them with an almost dark fascination. A redish-purple skinned sith trueblood. Her eyes burned with the darkside often associated with longtime practitioners. Why she was caged was another matter, she had multiple safegards around her neck, hands, and feet that would send shocks should she try to use her force powers. Though you were hidden, her eyes seemed to find you. She smiled and then looked back to Dolgis and Vemrin. "Boys, just get it over with. I'm tired."

Vemrin had murder and hate in his eyes. "I will be Baras' apprentice. You will tell us what we want to know." He clenches his fist and the Sith pureblood begins to strangle. Her manacled hands pawing at her neck futilely as her legs kicked. As Vemrin releases her she falls to the floor gasping. He throws her against the walls. She tries not to cry out but the force of the blows is almost but not quite enough to crack her bones. A small scream escapes her lips before she clenches her teeth. Her eyes filling with hate. As she attempts to use the force all of her restraints send lightning throughout her body.

She screams. Long and loud.

Your servant is dead. Another Sith acolyte and his follower killed him. They also seem to be on a mission of some sort, whether it is related to yours or not...
