For me, that'd probably be the Breath of the Wild 2017 E3 Direct trailer. The music for it is so phenomenal that, while I understand why it wouldn't really fit in the game proper, still I wish was in there somewhere, like maybe the credits or a bonus thing. But still, holy poo poo, that loving trailer. I still have the original video file, somewhere, but this is much higher quality. I had never heard of this series until a friend told me to download that video and check it out, and eventually I got the GBA games because of it and had a fantastic time with them. Bioshock Infinite wasn't the game they advertised, sadly, but the trailers were awesome and got me hyped.The reveal that it was taking place in some uber-American sky city kicked rear end. The fact they laid into the Americana/American Beast theme for another great trailer was cool too. Also the nostalgia bomb and "holy poo poo they're actually doing it!"* FFVII Remake Trailer was good, with some pretty crazy reactions on top of that. * - we'll see

Horizon Zero Dawn - E3 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fkg5UVTsKCE Seeing this reveal trailer blew my freaking mind because it's like someone reached into my childhood, scientifically extracted every single thing I thought was cool, and condensed it all into a single video game. Robot dinosaurs! Chicks with bows! How are they getting these graphics on a dinky PS4? Now Guerrilla at the time was also known for their infamous Killzone 2 trailer at E3 2005, so when this dropped there was much consternation around how many gameplay elements were actually real. But when HZD finally released in 2017 it looked even better than what was shown here and all the mechanics demonstrated to bring down the Thunderjaw, while somewhat dramatized, 100% exist in the game. This trailer still gets me hype as hell to play some Horizon, even though I've beaten the game like six times by now.

I can't believe I forgot the Last of Us II reveal which gives absolutely nothing in terms of story, etc. but is still spine-tingling and incredibly well done. The little piece-meal reveals that there's dead bodies where Ellie is - including right at her feet - and that it's Joel in the doorway is all so well done. Love it when the crowd goes nuts seeing just a tiny side of Joel's beard.

I watched it about 8 billion times and going  each time at the crazy details and plot hints. I love how half the trailer is just going "Yo check this poo poo out: First person aiming! Jumping over railings! Dynamic shadows! Guards acting as a team! Persistent Bodies!" And then the other trailers with their masterful lies and misdirects. Goddamn MGS2 owned.

how about a fan-trailer for a fan-game that isn't out yet, and has been in development for like a decade now? Megaman X: Corrupted is a throwback game in the style of the original SNES X games. But it's not like them in world design; it's a metroidvania and all the stages are connected in one massive world, with multi-phase Maverick fights. A fella by the name of JKB Games has been putting out little gameplay teasers for it for at least half a decade now and it's always looked fantastic. You can see more on his youtube page. Growing up, I was obsessed with Baldurs Gate and this trailer had me salivating over a 3d sequel to my favourite game. Even 12 year old me was gutted by the lame single player experience the game delivered. I feel like this trailer doesn't really make it clear that the meat of the game was a multiplayer toolkit and the single player campaign was a half arsed afterthought. Still it's a great trailer and I will always remember the game I imagined it would be.
