well i dont think win95 supported smp, so if i understand correctly it wouldnt do anything useful with multiple cores or processors. it is pretty nice to be able to do more than one thing at once. hope you werent burning a cd when i messaged you!!!

for a ui thing the management console was a nice improvement from 98 to 2k

native management of wifi networks in xp was also a big step up from the utter shitshow that every manufacturer rolling their own manager was

i'd agree that the start menu and explorer have been going downhill for a long time though
