No good deed goes unpunished

I love logging onto Netflix and finding a new season of a show.

Fourth season of Somebody Feed Phil is exactly what I needed. There's something amazing about his positivity and love for people that really shines through. It's like what would happen if Mr. Roger went traveling around the world.

The Mitchells vs The Machines was really funny and the animation is fantastic at times. It's a stupid kids movie but I enjoyed it a lot. The Furby scene had me laughing out loud

We impulse watched this last night because I saw Danny McBride, and I had no idea it was by the same person behind Gravity Falls. Easily one of the tightest written movies I've seen in a long long time. It reminded me of Airplane, where the gags per minute was through the roof, and I had to pause the video whenever I left the room. If this is where movies are headed, we're in a good spot. I was also thrown off by Eric Andre playing a somewhat normal well adjusted person. I always forget that he's doing a character.

I really really really liked this movie, especially the somewhat random and absurd humor. What other shows/movies should I check out?

I invited a friend over for movie night who recently lost their mother. I was thinking about watching the latest conjuring movie. Can anyone who has seen the movie tell me if there are any references to dead mothers in the movie? I know there was a movie where one of the subplots was about contacting the dead, I just wanted to make sure there wouldn't be anything too triggering in the film.
