True Blood was good trash for awhile, then it turned into garbage trash once they did the whole fairies and Bill being some kind of prophet thing.

My wife and I watched Creep last night on Netflix and really enjoyed it. The movie does a great job at making you feel creeped out and cringey with very little effort, and on a what I assume was a low budget. Creep 2 on the other hand, not so much.

Creep 2 just seemed less suspenseful and scary overall, and more silly than anything else.

Looks good, but I'm not sure I want to be guilt tripped by Sir David this weekend.

Just finished watching The Villainess on Hulu, pretty drat good Korean action flick. While watching a making-of from John Wick 3, they mentioned that they got the idea for the motorcycle scene from this movie. It definitely could've trimmed some fat off the meat, but overall it was enjoyable.

One thing I enjoy doing is taking recommendations from this thread without looking up anything about the title, just going in blind. For the most part it's rewarding, my wife can't stand it though and has to watch a trailer beforehand.

My friends don't trust me for blind recommendations anymore after I told them they should watch the heartwarming feel good documentary, Dear Zachary. I got my sister to watch it on Christmas.

The one time going in blind really backfired on me was when I suggested my wife and I watch The Handmaiden. For some reason I thought it was a horror flick and we were prepared for some scaries. About halfway through (and a couple scissor scenes later) we both looked at each other and just laughed at my stupidity. Ended up watching the rest, it was alright.

I've been making my way through Curb Your Enthusiasm for the first time, and I've got to say it's one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time. I'm halfway through season 4 though, and something seems different about it, not in a good way either. I don't know how to say it, but it seems like the writing is trying too hard at this point to be funny. I googled a couple "seasons ranked" lists, only to find that season 4 is regarded as one of the best. Maybe it's just me

Maybe because it was always airing on tv back in the day, but I feel like I've seen Tremors 2 over a dozen times, and yet I've only seen the first movie maybe twice. A lot of 90s movies I feel nostalgic for just because they were always on cable tv back then, Weekend at Bernies 2 is another one.

Fun fact: total recall and minority report were both originally written by Phillip k dick. He famously wrote brilliant short stories that Hollywood continues to make into lovely films (paycheck anyone?). Turns out itís pretty hard to make short form, high concept stories into feature length films.
