the iphone 8 is fine and if mine broke right now i'd get another i expect to easily get another 2 years from my 8, probably 3...if i want to get a new phone at that point then welp we'll see what things look like. prediction: bad!

my iPhone 7 is pristine. always keep a case on it. there are maybe some fine scratches on the screen but I can only see them in daylight.

Original iPhone was really hamstrung but that probably doesn't deserve to be held against it. iPhone 3G was too slow and didn't have MMS 3GS was good 4 and 4S are ok, kind of boring. Siri not that good after all 5 didn't have a long life, but it still looks amazing. best looking iphone ever 5S was good 6 didn't have enough RAM for its high res screen. bad! 6S is good, for a clown phone SE is obviously the best phone, duh. 7 is ok 8 is ok X is bad XS and XR are ok but are too big and don't have a button

the battery is probably too old and can't supply enough voltage during peak loads, updating to the latest 12.x should fix that or you can just get the battery replaced by apple too
