fakeaccount posted:I remember this fact as well. It was hosted by two skater/stoner punk dorks who in one episode flip out, break the fourth wall, and just start showing you how the rooftop they were supposedly filming from was just a studio. All I remember about them was that they reused the same oddly specific plot like, at least 3 times: The white guy's evil little sister came to the set at the same time as the black guy had to eff off to some places for whatever reasons and his evil twin showed up, and the two ganged up on the white guy. Seriously, that happened a bunch of times.

This was an animated show on HBO about 10 years ago and it was 2 15 minutes episodes together in a 30 minute format. The animation was garbage but the plots and Tim's adventures are loving hilarious. Its about Tim, a man who finds himself in increasingly bizarre and awkward situations. He is joined by his friends Stu, Rodney, and sometimes The Boss who push him into situations that spiral quickly out of control. This episode starts with him finding what looks like a Mexican handy man but a language barrier makes it hard to figure out if he is a gay prostitute or not. The second one has Tim participating in a class action lawsuit against the corporation that fired him and includes this . It ended leaving room for a fourth season but it was never picked up again. Incredibly under rated show.

I love that show, for me the defining moment is when the boss made Tim announce to the office that he poo poo in the elevator so that the boss wouldn't get in trouble for bringing his dog to work.

Does anyone remember anything about Bonkers it's like the one Disney tv cartoon that Disney doesn't want to suckle nostalgia money from, the Black Cauldron of TV shows.

J-Spot posted:The girl partner episodes were produced first despite airing later. That's amazing Wikipedia says that originally it was supposed to be a rip-off of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" with Bonkers getting a job after his acting career as a toon ended (the character in the Raw Toonage shorts was him "acting") , so that makes sense

EugeneJ posted:That's amazing Another fun thing is when the show initially aired it was out of order because they wanted to save some of the “good” episodes for sweeps. They ended up airing half of the Lucky episodes and then did the episode where he leaves and Bonkers gets the girl partner. Then after all of her episodes aired the next set of new episodes all had Lucky back with no explanation.

Remember that weird episode where Bonkers meet Mickey Mouse, and they have MM like, sitting in shadows in his own house all hidden and stuff? Like, they were afraid to actually draw him or something, and they treat him like some big Charles Foster Kane type then.

Did anyone else watch a show called "A.K.A" on cartoon network? It was like a hip hop remix show, but of cartoons? It was seriously loving boss, and also where I first saw space ghost: coast to coast. Older than that though was some show about sky-surfers, I think it was just called sky surfers maybe? And one of the villains was a grenade... Who would just blow himself up at them?

The storyboards for the finale were insane and I really wish we'd been able to do it. Relevant to Starship Troopers and the earlier mention of "Mainframe's" Heavy Gear CG show: Foundation Imaging did Troopers (minus a couple episodes.) Immediately after wrapping on ST:RC while ramping up production on the "Max Steele" show that no-one watched or remembers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEL0j4Ys6Oo, they bid on Heavy Gear. This might be the only place this video exists now, a lovely youtube upload. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-StLVe8J8LU Mainframe won the bid because Canadian art grants allowed them to work basically for free, and Sony preferred that. Edit: Oh, Brit-goons may or may not remember a CG Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future CG show circa 2000. Netter Digital went out of business after 5 episodes and Foundation Imaging finished that production too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddroV1JD-ZA CaptainCrunch fucked around with this message at 17:59 on Mar 29, 2019 |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xY0U2pSRYeg Full disclosure: I never watched this show, and have no idea if it's well known or not, nor if it's any good. However, when I ran into this intro I could clearly see that I would have had really conflicting feelings about it as a kid. Pros: Medieval setting Knights Justice Merlin Kickin' rad opening music Cons: Ties in sports which sucks since I'm a medieval fantasy nerd and as a result am bad at sports Bastardizes Arthurian legend Music ends much too soon FilthyImp posted:Also rad was the Saint Seiya original op I'm sorry, but that op is pretty lame compared to the original 'Pegasus Fantasy' op: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu533OKYHyc I saw this intro for the first time when I was already an adult, when my girlfriend (now wife) told me about the shows she watched as a kid. When I saw that I felt something similar to the excitement you get from an op for a show you love as a kid when you just ran to the couch and managed to catch it as it was starting... except it was for a show I'd never seen before. Not to mention while in China I saw a band perform a cover of this song and the entire room started rocking out. That's how good the original op is. i remember an episode of a cartoon i've been searching for. It must have been in the very late 80s or early 90s. the plot was basically they were stuck in this Mall that was controlled by some kind of robotic AI. people would enter the mall, but they couldn't leave. and the mall was like getting bigger as people entered? anyway a scene i remember was they went to the mall management which was a bunch of dummies/human looking mannequins sitting around a meeting table. then they got attacked by them. somehow at the end they defeated the mall and everyone could leave i know it wasn't captain planet or anything like that
