That’s because of the 2020 law, American Innovation and Manufacturing Act, so yet another example of Biden claiming credit for the status quo.

My hometown in california ran out of water a few years ago during the drought. They literally had to truck water in. All across the southwest aquifers are getting pumped dry even as the population grows and precipitation falls. You will absolutely live to see swathes of the first world run out out fresh water, with food not far behind. If you mean that there won't be a single drought/famine that will affect the entire developed world at once, ok, but there is no way that portions of the developed world won't face massive internal displacement and subsequent political unrest.

The regulation would begin to take effect in 2022 and would gradually reduce the production and importation of hydrofluorocarbons in the United States by 85 percent over the following 15 years. About 15 percent of HFCs would still be permitted because they have critical uses for which alternatives do not yet exist.

The E.P.A. estimated that by 2050 the rule would eliminate the equivalent of 4.7 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide, or about three years’ worth of emissions from America’s power sector.
lol so the lofty goal is that by 2050 we’ll have the atmosphere of a sprightly 2047? incredible, so far-sighted

enough people still have faith that the powers that be can fix things after disaster strikes. that if the power is out for a week, it won't be out forever. that if water is rationed all summer, you'll still be able to take a bath come december.

when that starts to unravel it will spread like wildfire (possibly like the wildfire that started the disaster in the first place)

“Famine looms in southern Madagascar as communities witness an almost total disappearance of food sources which has created a full-blown nutrition emergency,” Daoudi said.

That's an interesting thought. Here in Australia we had two years of crippling drought followed by apocalyptic bushfires... followed by a year of beautiful rainy weather. And those of us with the luxury to do so have set about comprehensively forgetting the droughts and fires and what it's like to wake up every morning to a sky empty of everything but ash. This exceptionally rainy year is the norm, thankyou very much, and we shan't be stressing about those fires again.
If the Year of Covid had come during the drought rather than the La Nina, I think everyone would have gone dramatically insane.
