 Both are gross and stupid but at least chewing tobacco doesn't stink everything up with gross smoke.

Oh I thought chewing tobacco and Scandinavian snus was the same thing, but it seems not to be. Snus is super prevalent here and is indeed much better than loving smoking. Less sure about chewing tobacco now.
