Yeah, Shanahan and Dubas are trying to get the team to the point where playing in the AHL isn’t so unappealing to free agents from overseas/college, etc. I can’t exactly say that it’s lead to on-ice success for the Leafs franchise in terms of talent cultivation but it’s a long game.
