OLD MAN YELLS AT CLAN
I am creating a Period after the Technocracy called The Shattering and The Gathering. This is the period in which the egalitarian states crumbled and the races grew fearful and angry with each other. They began to gather under racial leaders and exclude others, sometimes leading to outright acts of bigoted violence. It is a Dark period

Cut loose before the god eaters show up.
I'm creating an event within the The Dawn of Clockwork Technomancy. It's dark, representing the rise of those who would prey on prosperity. It is the sacking of the Arcadian treasure fleet by the sky pirate Black Bell. In those enlightened days, trade was flourishing. Miraculous flying engines, lifted by elemental magic and propelled by clockwork devices carried goods and technology across the sky. One of the richer empires of the time, Arcadia was well positioned and had a number of famous technomancers. It funded exploration all across the realms. Thus it was that they came across one of the largest pieces of the fallen sun on the far side of the world. It was an unimaginable treasure trove of rare alloys and intriguing designs. Naturally Arcadia claimed this bounty for itself and funded a colony of miners and engineers to process the huge device. It took years to disassemble the ruined machinery and build the massive skybarges that would carry the bounty back to Arcadia. And when they finally finished their toil and the first huge shipment set out across the heavens, Black Bell was waiting for them. Born Miriam Bellweather, Black Bell had been making a name for herself among the sky pirate captains of the time. She was known for vicious raids on underprotected mining towns in order to keep her ships afloat. But the Sacking was another thing entirely. It was commonly held knowledge at the time that the claptrap vessels of sky pirates were no match for the massive flying fortresses of a true navy. Thus it was with more bemusement than true alarm that the lookouts of the treasure fleet's escorts noticed the first of the pirate vessels darting from behind a moon. The bemusement turned to worry as more of the smaller ships kept emerging, hundreds of them, streaming black smoke. Miriam had gathered captains from across the sky, bound together under what became known as the Knell Oath. Beyond the sheer numbers, raiders had another trick planned. They had overstoked their boilers, burning fuel at a colossal rate. In truth Black Bell's fleet would not have been able to make it back to solid ground if the raid had failed. It was an all or nothing play, urged on by the grim tactician leading them. The battle was a turning point in naval history. The numerous, highly maneuverable pirate vessels worried at the less protected flanks of the huge Arcadian ships. Stuck guarding the barges and unable to bring their heavier armament to bear, the escort ships were bled by a thousand cuts until only pirate flags flew that night, the winged bell on black flying foremost among them.

I can show you what endless looks like
I can show you a single infinite thing
I can let you taste the sweet and sour of forever
Unending. Eternal. Inevitable
Taste my darkness
Climb into my abyss
Fall into me. Into my eyes
Look at them. Depths unfathomable
Pain immeasurable
A cruel promise fulfilled
I am creating an Event after the Technocracy within The Shattering and The Gathering. When the races grew fearful and angry with each other and began to gather under racial leaders one rose and accepted all who were cast out. She was known as Mother Mercy statues and caches of followers still exist today. Though the movement is no longer as relevant as it once was. It is a Light event.

I am creating a Period between "The Rise of the City of Light" and "The Undead Empire Triumpherate Collapses" called The Shadow Wars, when dark forces, worshiping dark and secret gods, coveted the prosperity that the City of Light had created, and conspired to either destroy it or take it for themselves. The City of Light suffered many attacks from enemies both within and without during this period. This was a Dark period.

Spare batteries are pretty key.
I am creating an Event within the period of the Shadow Wars, known as The Shattering of the Golden Crystal. It is a dark event, occurring when mages from The City of Light, overreaching in an effort to defeat an attacking army, accidentally destroyed their most powerful weapon. Though this did not directly lead to the eventual fall of the city to the forces of Shadow, it made the defense more difficult and more reliant on individual heroics.

I can't hear you over the sound of me licking my own anus.
An Event: Reconnection to the Arts: Early in the founding of the City of Light, many of the remaining humans were in despair. They had lost so much light and beauty and connectedness to life. In their despair, however, something wonderful arose: the desire to reconnect with what beauty was left in the world. Many people began venturing from their isolated lives to search the desolate land for relics of beauty. They even risked their lives at times to find lost arts and literature from times long gone. Because the love of things that are lovely is very human, and in spite of great tragedy, they retained their humanity. This is a light event (duh).

there may be people who
find a blender sexy - I
would do well with a more
humanoid model, myself
Event: During the City of Light Period, after Re-connection to the Arts

Union of Art and Magic - In time, with components and spells, mortals discovered they could imbue their art with magic. Statues could become animated constructs like Golems. Books and Paintings could be portals to Realms the size and complexity of which was limited only to the wealth and skill of its creator.

I guess unless it is abused it is a Light event.

Event: The Murder of Sheriff Mcgillicuddy- an unknown drifter kills a self proclaimed lawman who had brought relative prosperity to a small ramshackle town after the fallout from the explosion of the Clockwork Sun had ended. Dark Event.

During: Bookend - The Shattering of the Clockwork Sun
