Megathread Updated: 03/24/2019
Official Goon FFRK Discord: Here!

Final Fantasy Record Keeper is a Free to Play Mobile game developed by DeNA. Its gimmick is that it's a nostalgic goonfest where you make a party of five 16 bit sprite (FF6) versions of all the Final Fantasy characters from every Final Fantasy (including some not from FF) and engage in fun party-based boss fights.

It's notable for being actually good. Unlike almost every other F2P Mobile game. The level of skill and methodical party planning is as deep as any full-price game out there.

Not only that, the Freemium currency, Mythril, is plentiful -- especially for newcomers -- so maintaining a completely Free to Play account that can clear content is absolutely possible. You never need to spend a dollar, for any reason.

With this OP update, this remains true. Not only are people clearing the tip-toppest high-end content F2P, but many players also engage in hilarious no-SB challenge runs just to prove they can.

If you really love nostalgia. If you really love micromanaging a team of absolute asskickers, squeezing out every last drop of power from them to overcome seemingly unbeatable challenges. If you are looking for a fun phone game that requires as little as 10 or so minutes a day, or a game that you can play for hours on end. If you like gambling with fake money and your emotional well-being.

The Acolyte's Archives has finally come, and with it has ushered in Record Dungeons and a much easier Newbie starting situation that offers :siren: dozens of free relics for everyone. :siren: Record Dungeons are the game's original story and plot and include Elarra, the current best healer in the game and the girl whose smile you will want to protect.

The Record Dungeons are basically mini-puzzles where you will be given a specific loadout of characters, abilities, and levels and it's up to you to beat them with what you have. Contrasted to the tense, stressful endgame, Record Dungeons offer a relaxed and interesting play on the FFRK experience. The plot itself is charming but the real reason you're here is for the awesome recreations.

In recent news:

:siren: :piss:4TH ANNIVERSARY IS FINALLY HERE:piss: :siren:

Awakening Soul Breaks, a massive new leap in power, are officially here! More on that later.

The GL/JP Divide

FFRK kicked off in Japan six months before the rest of the world and it's clear that there's different agendas at work in terms of festivals and Japan-specific events. "Global and JP are two different games" is a prominent saying in every FFRK community and for good reason. There are pros and cons to both GL and JP, and several goons here have an account with both servers.

If you are at all interested in playing an untranslated Japanese video game, click here

Battle System

FFRK uses the classic ATB battle system from Final Fantasies IV to XII. A characters ATB Bar fills up, they choose an action. You can choose to Attack, Defend, use one of two abilities you have equipped on a character, or use a Soul Break.

Realm Synergy
Now, remember, all the characters, bosses, and stages, are from past Final Fantasy games. This isn't just fanservice, it's enshrined mechanically. If a relic or character is from the game being adapted, they gain Synergy. So they have higher stats, and get more EXP.

This is Cloud if I'm using him in a stage based off Final Fantasy 7. You can tell if something is effected by Synergy if it has a blue aura around it. So while his Organics and Hero's Belt get it, because their items from FF7, the Kaiser Shield does not get Realm Synergy in this case, because it's an item from Final Fantasy Tactics.

Soul Breaks are used when a character does enough actions and/or gets hit enough times to fill up a bar on their Soul Break meter. These are basically the Limit Breaks/Overdrives/Trance Attacks/Quickenings/Etc from past FF games. Generally, however, the Soul Breaks that characters naturally have aren't that good. The only way to get better Soul Breaks for characters is with the Gacha system, which I will talk more about below.

Characters

There are a lot of characters in FFRK. Since it’s using every single Final Fantasy game as a source, you can imagine how big the playable cast is.

Each character can equip one weapon, one armor, and one accessory. Each character has their own unique equipment list. Cloud, for instance, can equip Knives, Swords, and Katanas. Obviously he's never going to use a Harp. Abilities are also based off the character you have. There are the Final Fantasy mainstays like Black Magic, White Magic, and Summoning. But also more unique skill sets to translate mechanics from other FF games like Samurai or Knight.

Abilities

Abilities are made using the Orbs you get from all the Dungeons. You acquire the required Orbs, select the ability you want to make, and you use it!

However, each ability can only be used a limited number of times in a Dungeon. Most abilities you make, you can use twice before you run out and your character has to settle for "Attack." You can extend the number of uses your abilities have by "Honing" them. Once honed they gain more uses. However, honing takes more Orbs than it would take to make a second copy of the ability! It's up to you to decide if more orbs are worth it rather then just spread around the ability to multiple slots. (Since you only have 10 slots, this is usually the case though.)

Most people will agree that Rank 3 is the sweet spot for hones. Harder fights may require more, but usually there are less costly ways to improve your party’s performance.

Abilities are key to the success of any party, so make sure you're always selecting the best abilities for your party and honing them up as much as possible.

”A Wise Man” posted:

You know they say that all abilities are created equal, but you look at Flare Strike and you look at Omega Drive and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one in a DPS competition, you got a 50/50 chance of winning. But Omega Drive is a numbers freak and it's not normal. So it got a 25%, AT BEST, at out-DPS Omega Strike. Then you add Cloud USB to the mix, Flare Strike's chances of winning drastic go down. See the 3 way, at Magicite, Flare Strike got a 35% chance of doublecasting, but Omega Drive, Omega Drive got a 66 and 2/3 chance of breaking the damage cap, because Barrage KNOWS it can't beat Omega Drive and it's not even gonna try!

So Flare Strike, you take your 35% doublecast chance, minus Omega Strike's damage cap break chance and you got an 8 1/3 chance of winning at Magicite. But then you take Omega Drive's 75% chance of breaking the damage cap, if they was to go one on one, and then add 66 2/3 per cents, it's got 141 2/3 chance of winning at Magicite. See Delita, the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you at Magicite.

That doesn't help at all! There are too many! What do I make?

Don't worry. When you're starting out, simply make a set of 3* and 4* abilities that a large number of characters can use and go from there. You won't want to touch 5* abilities unless you have an endgame capable character to use them with. For instance, if you have no 6* relics, simply make abilities like Double Cut, Launch, and the Breaks. If you got Bartz USB1 for instance, you'd eventually want to make and hone every 5* Spellblade ability for every element he can use -- Fire/Earth/Water/Wind Quadstrikes. In this game, it ultimately depends on the relics you have.

That being said, here's a great list to begin with. Prioritize bolded abilities:

2* Abilities

Double Cut
Wind Slash
Jump
Every Spellblade
Every Black Magic ability
Cura

3* Abilities

Armor, Magic, Mental, Power, Mind Breaks
Launch
Tempo Flurry
Kick
Every Spellblade
Every Black Magic ability
Curaga
Dispel

4* Abilities [endgame usable in Italics and Bold]

Lifesiphon - (I use 3 fully honed. You should make more than one)
Pound
Armor, Magic, Mental, Power, Mind Breakdowns - Essential abilities.
Wrath - Lifesiphon for Casters. Essential. Adds a +3% Atk buff which actually nerfs PHY characters, so don't use this on people who swing swords.
Banishing Strike
Every Spellblade
Every Black Magic Ability
Quake
Ruinga
Curaja
****Protectga/Shellga AKA Proshellga. You will use these on almost every fight.
Slowga
Valefor
Maduin
Every 4* Dancer Ability
Dark Bargain
Memento Mori

5* Abilities for anyone

While you want to mostly tailor these to who you have good relics for, here are some evergreen abilities at this tier:

Full Break
Entrust
Multi Break
Enfeebling Jitterbug
Ultra Cure

6* Abilities

6* abilities are where it starts to get complicated. To create them, you need special record items, which can be obtained from several different sources: Nightmares, Job Motes, and Rubies. With the exception of Job Mote abilities, you can only ever have one copy of each ability. Furthermore, the 6* crystals needed to create and hone them cannot be exchanged for lesser orbs, or vice versa.

Nightmare Abilities

Nightmare records come from the 12 ultimate battles in the Nightmare dungeon, twelve in all. Each fight is a gimmick battle that tests your skill for the respective ability class; for example the Curada dungeon requires you to use white mages to beat it.

Nightmare abilities are quite old at this point, and the game was very different when they were first introduced, so many of them have fallen out of the “meta”. There are still a few that are worth creating.

Curada - The best healing ability if you don’t need Ultra Cure’s status heal.
Meltdown - Hits three different elements (fire/wind/earth)
Valigarmanda - Hits three different elements (fire/ice/lightning)
Affliction Break - Lowers an enemy’s chance of inflicting status effects. Due to the way success rate is calculated, this forces a hard cap of 50% no matter what. However, in endgame battles (5* magicite and torment), status effects have the auto-hit property, which makes Affliction Break useless for them.
Omega Drive - Still somewhat useful, but being non-elemental holds it back a lot. If you don’t have right elemental tools, it may be better to use this on the occasional omni-resist boss.
Dervish - Like Omega Drive, but it does a lot more hits and can provide haste for the user.

Job Mote Abilities

Job Mote records are unlocked on a character’s record sphere screen for characters that have natural 5* access in certain ability classes. For example, Celes has the Snowspell Strike sphere available because she has natural 5* spellblade access, but Cloud does not because he gets 5* access from his record board. Unlike Nightmare and Ruby abilities, multiple copies of Job Mote abilities can be created, with only motes and characters being the limit. It costs 5 motes to unlock 6* access on a character, and 15 motes total to create an ability record. Like Nightmare abilities, these are fairly old, but not quite as outdated.

Snowspell Strike - Hits two different elements (ice/wind)
Allegro con Moto - Provides double cast speed for offensive magic abilities for the entire party.
Mug Bloodlust - Damage, self buff, and enemy debuff. Also fast cast, so it’s decent for building SB gauge.
Stitch in Time - Damage and self buff. Also instant cast, so it’s great for building SB gauge.
Sky High - Only slightly better than the 5* ability Aerial Dive, but it does produce more SB gauge than most other 6* abilities.

Ruby Abilities

Ruby records are available from the Royal Crucible in exchange for rubies. Currently, rubies can only be acquired from the endgame Torment dungeons. Unlike the old Nightmare and Job Mote abilities, all Ruby abilities are extremely good! You’ll have to be careful about which ones you buy due to the limited nature of rubies, however. Most people suggest prioritizing the multi-element abilities (Voltech, Blastspell Strike, and Stormspell Strike) for more versatility, and then picking up others depending on your needs and abilities. For example, having Tidus’s USB Day to Remember means it’s a great idea to create Sapphire Bullet.

First off, one of the most important things to keep in mind is :siren: ASK BEFORE SPENDING MYTHRIL :siren: If there's a good banner available, we'll tell you. If the best banner is coming in a week, we'll tell you. Pulling blind on a banner isn't necessarily bad, but it is helpful in the beginning to get the best chances at the best gear. Just wait. If you feel like you need good relics to progress (you don't), we can tell you which to immediately select.

When you're starting out, FFRK is a game of beating as much as you can with whatever team you can scrounge up. Always prioritize any event dungeon that you can clear that's ending soon. You can look under the titles of any event to see when exactly it ends. Realm Dungeons will be your primary method of generating both Stamina and Mythril, so don't neglect these either. You can join raids immediately and play with goons! We'll carry you, so be sure to hit up our Discord!

:siren: IMPORTANT: if you're new, work on these as much as possible! FFRK players are generally helpful and will absolutely carry you through most of the MP fights, especially if you come play with goons. This isn't WoW. Raiding isn't the endgame and it isn't always difficult. That being said, most raids do not recur! So always try to clear them when you can! :siren:

Reddit has a great and comprehensive guide for specific progression here

In general, your path to success will include the following:

1) Completing any and all Event content you can.
2) Raid as much as you can, and goons can carry you.
3) Continually pushing the ~1000 Realm Dungeons when you're finished all the time-sensitive content. You'll need to level up your Stamina readily as well.

:siren: At the start of every month, there is a Realm Dungeon Update, which adds new stages and makes all dungeon stamina cost 50% less. Try to run them during this period, if possible! :siren:

4) Continue pushing your Event clears further and further, until you're reliably finishing d180 content
5) Start on Nightmare dungeons (most of these have been power creeped pretty hard nowadays)
6) Fully Clear Events and Nightmare dungeons
7) Start 3* Magicite
8) Start d240 Torment battles
9) Work up to clearing all 4* Magicite and all d240/d280 Torment battles
10) Kid yourself into thinking you can clear 5* Magicites and d$$$ Torments!
11) Congrats, you're now a salty vet!

So how exactly do I get through content?

Starting out, you're going to want to have a solid A-Team. This will be comprised of 3 of your most effective DPS, a solid Support character, and a great Healer. At this point, the relics you're trying to look for are:

Hastegas (Soul Breaks that offer Hastega to the party. While this is now an ability, having it on an SB is still useful)
Medicas (Party-wide healing, especially Instant ones)
Boostga/Faithgas (To buff your team)
Wall (+100% DEF/RES buffs. You immediately get one for free from the Archives called Sentinel's Grimoire. Enjoy using Tyro!)

From there, you'll be able to tackle lots of content.

Getting into the endgame, you'll need specific relics for specific content and as such you'll pull on banners based on what you need in order to progress further. This is highly dependent on your current account.

Okay, I'm at Endgame (or planning on Endgame). What do I do?

With the rise of 5* Magicites, DeNA has decided that everyone will need a Physical and Magic team for every element in the game (Fire/Ice/Wind/Earth/Lightning/Water/Holy/Dark). If you're thinking with absolute endgame in mind, look for the strongest Element SBs for both Physical teams and Magic teams.

For Magicites, you'll want to have at least one well-developed Element team. This way, you'll be able to beat one then make the rest of the magicites much easier by collecting their magicite. Think Mega Man.

I'm getting my rear end kicked! What the hell am I doing wrong?

You're probably not aware of

Buff Stacking

This gets its own section because it's pretty important.

Now, the way FFRK handles buffs and debuffs is different from most RPGs I've seen. The way it works is that each Buff/Debuff has its own ID, based off what stats it effects. So, an ability that reduces the Enemy's attack and one that raises the user's attack would have the same ID, because they both effect just Attack. You can't have two effects with the same ID on the same character, the new one will just overwrite the old one.

So if you use Attack Breakdown, then Attack Break, you'll just end up undoing your Attack Breakdown for the lesser Attack Break. So don't do it.

However, two Buffs/Debuffs that effect different stats will stack. So Attack Buff/Debuff and Magic Buff/Debuff will stack. And here's where things get crazy. Some abilities give Buffs/Debuffs that effect multiple stats at once. These then have their own unique ID. So let's say you have three Debuffs to inflict on the enemy. An Attack one, a Magic one, and one that decreases Magic and Defense. Then you throw on a buff that increases your Party's Attack, then one that increases their Magic, then another that increases both Attack and Magic. All three will stack since all three have separate IDs. This is important to know because high end FFRK content pretty much requires the ability to be able to stack up multiple buffs and/or debuffs.

More details on stacking:

”KataraniSword” posted:

Does this stack?
  • Buffs/debuffs generally only stack if they affect a different "set" of stats - an ATK/MAG boost stacks with both ATK and MAG boosts, but not another ATK/MAG. Full Break stacks with Breakdowns, but not another skill that reduces ATK/MAG/DEF/RES. And so forth. There's a few ultra-niche exceptions to this, but for 99.9% of cases it holds true. Multiple buffs or debuffs suffer diminishing returns past a softcap, however, so stacking too many won't be very efficient.
  • Protectga and Shellga stack with all other DEF/RES buffs and aren't subject to any soft caps. They're important to have, as of such.
  • Elemental Resistance equipment does not stack, it only takes the highest resistance off of all your equipment. (For example, if you're wearing a piece of armor with a Minor Water Resistance and the Gigas Armlets, which have a weakness to Water, the Minor Water Resistance would overwrite the weakness. If you were wearing a Moderate Water Resistance accessory, though, that would be the resistance that applies.)
  • Status resistance equipment does stack, though the specifics involve a lot more math than you'd really generally want to go into. If you have two moderate resists, they both apply, however.
  • Doublecast Legend Materia and Record Materia roll independently, so they technically stack. If both go off, you get three casts, not four. (In other words, each Doublecast proc gives you +1 casting, and triplecast procs give you +2 castings.)
  • Elemental Resistance Legend Materia sometimes stacks - single-element resistance (for example, Warrior of Light's LM1) does not stack with equipment, but all-element resistance (for example, Relm's LM2) is a flat damage reduction and does stack with equipment.

”FisterRoboto” posted:

Effects that set the critical hit rate or critical hit damage to a certain percentage [b]do not stack[b] and are known as crit fixes and crit damage fixes respectively. Abilities that have an innate critical hit rate or critical damage bonus (like Sky Grinder or Gaia Rush) have their bonuses added on top of fixes. So for example, using Gaia Rush (+20% crit rate) with a 50% crit fix results in a 70% crit rate.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How is multi-element damage handled? For example Meltdown.

The game calculates the potential damage for each element and then selects whichever is highest. So for example, if you used Meltdown on an enemy that is 50% resistant to wind and 150% weak to earth, it would do earth damage.

The SB attached to it is actually pretty decent, too! Like, it's not gonna blow minds or anything, but it could easily see use in the IX torment if you lack good buffing options for the realm. Plus as a bonus, it's well established that a dived Vivi can put out surprsingly solid DPS numbers even without any offensive relics, so he can still contribute after casting it.

<click> <click> What is it with this dancing?! Bouncing around like fools... I would have thought my own kind at least would understand the seriousness of our Adventurer's Guild!

I shredded a lot of my Realms on Parade stuff since I just mastered and forgot about it, but I got quite a few discos of varying quality! To sum it up:

My first pull on Type-0 was a successful haul with Sice (I think?) USB. The darkness-elemental one. While I have a fairly strong dark party already, it's nice to have, and I already had some gear for them in the past.
Immediately after on Tactics was Delita's USB, which was, well... all right, at best. Not exactly the best tool, and I'm not hankering for +holy swords, but it's interesting.
After that I got some crappish stuff. Some stuff for Gladiolus and Haurchefant (who keeps on plaguing my goddamn Realms on Parade).
Then, on 13 was a very interesting tool - I was scared that the fist I was looking at was a dupe, but it was in fact Snow's more recent USB that creates an icy Radiant Shield. It's a hell of a get in conjunction with the chain he also has.
Next is some unmemorable things. 12 has completely lost me, 11 was definitely something for Shantotto.
For 10 I got excited to see another disco - could it be Tidus or Rikku's chain, solving my water problems forever? Nope, unfortunately, it's Braska's USB, which was probably the most disappointing new relic of the bunch.
9 gave me another disco, but it was my only Overstrike of the bunch - and it was Steiner's, adding insult to injury.
From here... 8 I believe gave me my first duplicate of the parade in Quistis' LMR or Glint, one of the two. Then for 7, I don't remember at all what I got.
6's pull was one of the most important ones - a disco ball resulting in Kefka's USB, which is my first step towards a legitimate Dark Mage team. Doubly sweet because I had gotten his dualcast LMR some time ago and can now put it to good use.
5's pull threw me an Arcane Overstrike for Krile. I have her USB but haven't bothered using her much - maybe this is a good reason to switch Papalymo out of my fire mages.
4 was a crazy pull - not only did I get a disco, but I also got two 5* relics. You heard me right, every single relic in the three-pull was a rainbow or higher. It ended up with an okay-ish LMR for Edward, a Burst for Cecil Paladin, and an Ultra for Ceodore. None of them seem like things I'll actually use, but hey, the sheer novelty of it is worth mentioning.
I mentioned this earlier, but 3 gave me a dupe Onion Magic USB, which I was upset about because I paid money to get one. Oh well.
Finally, some less notable tools in the end. Ricard and Echo got LMRs, though one is neater than the other - no guesses as to which.

Final tally of discos out of 17 Realms on Parade pulls: 9.

Finally, we wrapped up our business with the USB lucky. Unfortunately, it was a 1/11 dupe with Bartz's Chicken Knife. Not a useful thing to have more than one of. Oh well. Tomorrow's a new day with the 40x pull and the 8x pull, and then festivale will truly swing in earnest.

Here's some things kids have to say about the game:

Going in to battle: "Dr. Mog always has something to say."
During a cutscene: (slightly angry voice) "That Dr. Mog, always telling us what to do!"
And a very important question at the rewards screen after completing a dungeon: "Why do they turn into eggs?"

Hmm yes, a very good question. Those people do indeed turn into eggs.

Wedge Regret
From the last thread:

They’re OSBs, not AOSB, unfortunately, and the problem with pulling that banner is precisely what your second paragraph is about.

You’ll actually have 35, since today is a USB lucky and that’s absolutely worth it if you’re still early enough to be happy with OSBs. My advice:

The banner with Bartz, Terra, and Cloud coming this week is ludicrously good, especially if you aren’t yet at the point of doing 4* or higher magicites.

The banner with shitloads of chains is also ludicrously good, but with awakenings you don’t reslly need chains. They’re still extremely nice to have though.

There’s a core banner with very good stuff (outside of the Tyro USB4/Elarra USB2 combo, none of it is offensively ridiculous, but it’s all quite good) that gives you three pulls for the price of two—but you have to pull twice to trigger the free third. Depending on how long it sticks around, this might be your best bang for the buck. Fest will give like 80 mythril over the next week so it’s not impossible.

Basically, those should be your three targets, and you can only choose one of them. If you can post your elemental teams and your best healers/buffers, along with your magicite progress, I can give more precise advice.

Yeah, I accidentally mixed up AOSB and OSB..did end up pulling on the USB banner today (and didn't regret it) because I figure I'm generally too early to be ignoring those and still don't have enough spread across all of my characters.

As for elements, I only have CSBs for fire, earth, and holy (all Gen 2). Of these, my holy team is pretty stacked physically and Roxas' AASB pushes it a lot farther letting me take on 260+ dungeons. Everything else is still far too slim to even begin to separate into phys/mag damage groups, but I'm still working through 3* magicites.

Best healer is Penelo with her instant heal USB and support would now suddenly go to OK as I very recently lucked into his mUSB and pUSB along with the fact that the tons of growth eggs from today's festival allowed me to finally level him to 99. Other than that, I'm lacking in good Wall SB's and other general support.

That's a terrific piece of art right there. I wish I could put things on my fridge but the drat thing won't keep magnets on it.

Luck of the Realms is over so here's my haul:

T0: Machina OSB
FFT: Ramza LMR1 dupe
XV: Noctis Glint
XIV: Yda USB
XIII: Vanille LMR
XII: Gabranth BUSB
XI: Curilla USB1
X: Jecht BSB, Wakka BSB
IX: Garnet BSB dupe
VIII: Fujin AOSB
VII: Cid USB dupe
VI: Cyan LMR
V: Bartz USB1 dupe
IV: Pecil AOSB dupe
III: CoD USB
II: Firion LMR1
I: Master USB

USB lucky gave me Ace's USB. Not exactly short on fire mages here but thanks anyway, game.

This is good because it means you can pull it from Ultra lucky draws and the ilk. Smart move to recognise its power and make it more obtainable - now I might still be able to get it! Still hilarious.

I'd be very surprised if they actually coded it to add it to ultra lucky draws and so on. Its official USB status is way more likely just to be limited to that text on that battle into helpsheet.

That'd be a bummer if that's the case. It's still a powerful bit of kit that's progressively rarer to pick up as time goes by.

The two free draws are up and I pulled a bunch of unremarkable 5* crap, with the only non-dupe 6* being Sazh USB. Are we beyond the point where mulching 5*s for Rosetta Stones is a good idea? I ask because I have a couple of relics I'm trying to finish off 30/30ing for 5* Magicites and Torments but don't know whether it's better to mulch them into Rainbow Crystals.

Finally are there any stand-out ranged physical Wind users and abilities? I pulled a dupe Fujin AOSB and it's a 6* + wind thrown weapon so she's sorted for a weapon. The other primary candidate, Alphinaud, can't use the weapon. I could keep one for OK, or mulch the other or even combine them to 7*. Any advice would be appreciated, goons. :)

Edge SSB will become easily available to everyone via lenses in a few months. Also, he’s getting a for real USB that does the same thing but more, which I think is in the next FFIV event.

These dentures won't stop me from tearing out jugulars in Thunderdome.

Free 8x draw got me Garland's AOSB to go along with his chain, so now he can do finally something else with his gauge. Also it's a really good +dark sword, which I needed. Also got some really good LMRs - Cloud's wind dualcast, Squall's en-ice, and both Decil and Pecil's enelements.

40 pull got me 3 disco balls, but one was the Garland AOSB I just drew, and the other was my 5th(!!!) Wakka USB. Stop giving me these loving blitzballs Dena. Luckily the third ball was Eiko's USB, which I don't really need for general use anymore now that I've got Elarra's USB, but I will happily take it for the IX Torment since it seems basically mandatory if I ever want to make headway in the final stage.

Overall, not too shabby. Could have been better, could have been worse. The USB draw and 40x pull were kinda disappointing but I still walked away with a bunch of useful kit. Fingers crossed on these CSB and Awakening banners.

this is very welcome after how bad my RoP draws were.

Vaan, Relm, Vincent, and Raines BSBs are all dupes, as are TGC LMR and Lightning AOSB. Still hard to argue with 3 good USBs and a good AOSB. The 8 draw makes me wish I hadn't picked Seph BSB2 and Fujin enwind ssb on the Acolyte Archives but what can you do.

My 48 pull was unimpressive. Either I'm paying for my good luck grabbing an OK USB3 a few days ago, or I'm getting all the bad luck out of my system for the fest. I got a Zell AOSB, and that's about it. I could use a good fire fist.

First clear of a 5*! Sub 60 and not reliable as of yet, but I'm hoping most of my troubles come from my badly optimized 4* magicite deck.

Gogo FF5 BSB1 was a dupe, because I got it in the Free 8, above.

8-pull: Papalymo AOSB, dupe Paine BSB, dupe Marche LMR, dupe Jecht endark LMR, Yuffie BSB1, Penelo BSB1, Queen BSB, Delita buildup LMR

40-pull: Dupe Garland CSB, Yuffie USB2, Edgar triplecast LMR

I think I should probably dive Papalymo, I've got his USB and AOSB now (plus other stuff) so he's pretty obviously my best fire mage at this point. Nothing too amazing with the other stuff, but most of the dupes were for boost/resist stuff so they're still useful. I've wanted Yuffie USB2 for a long time, though she's probably outside of the 'holy poo poo amazing' window now. I've got dived Edgar with his USB so the LMR is pretty cool too. Despite the dupe and only one item over the minimum, I'm kinda happy about it? Pretty OK with these in general.

And now we wait for banner 4. I'm considering a pull at banner 3, but I already have one of the elemental CSBs, already have a gen1 phys lightning chain and magic fire chain, and the realm chains are not really that interesting to me so it seems pretty questionable. Wouldn't mind Ignis BSB though.
