I want this to be good. The problems I had with BL2 and TPS were that very frequently enemies felt very VERY HP spongey. Not even like, bosses, but like random donks just ate tons of bullets and it would take a long time to clear places. Weirdly, bosses usually felt just fine.

Edit:

Probably need to figure out how to make this my avatar.

So I got really interested when I realized there was an unofficial community patch, as the game seems a bit stingy with loot and such. It looks like it addresses tons of things and balances more, plus giving more loot opportunities. So I got excited.

Apparently the new update to everything completely broke it all and it hasn't been fixed yet. I tried installing the Mod Manager off of Nexus and it can't even find Borderlands 2, much less do anything to it.

*sigh*

Character skins..... In an FPS no less.

I've now read a couple things saying PS4 pro looked rough and, uh, all I have is a PS4.

Is this my willpower to not buy this tomorrow? Haha

Thanks everyone! I'm way overdue for a new PC, mine is right at 6 years old, and the original plan was to upgrade it with tax return money this year. Alas, January rolled around and SURPRISE!

I've got a PS4 though so a final weekend day of responsibility-free shoot-mans and tasty beer is awfully tempting.

I have a regular PS4 and it's as bad as that tweet shows. It makes it hard as gently caress to actually shoot anything in this shooty game.

Welp, this probably makes my decision for me. I have a regular PS4 and my PC is a comparative potato so I guess I'll stick to Path of Exile.

I loaded up the game on PS4 and it says there's an update available would I like to go back to the main screen. I say yes and now I'm here there....doesn't appear to be an update?

I gotta say, I've had a pretty decent experience on my non pro PS4.

The only complaint I have is input lag. At this point I've adjusted mentally for it, but that does, in fact, suck. Desperately hoping they can patch that, but otherwise, I don't feel like I'm missing anything from the experience.

God this ps4 input lag is still loving annoying. I can’t hit anything.

I turned up sensitivity and played with stick settings and cut the input lag in what feels like half, but between that and the acceleration when aiming, well, thank God for explosions.

That said, I know it's dumb and you shouldn't have to game around it, but good god Smart Bullets are your best friend for badasses and/or quick moving targets when you're playing with input lag.

Something I've noticed is enemies trip and fall when you shoot them in the feet. This usually causes their shield to clatter off. It's absolutely amazing.

So what's the new hotness for flak now that a bunch of stuff has been nerfed?

Quick question: I played at launch and have a non pro PS4. I had some input lag that was somewhat mitigated by fiddling with the settings but very present.

Today I played split screen at a friend's and had absolutely no input lag, but he has a pro.

Has this been fixed? I haven't played since a week after the game came out.

I popped in to ask...

I played this at launch and I have a ps4 not pro, and I had some pretty noticeable input lag. Never had it with either destiny or any other shooter I can think of. I think I even posted about it.

Has that been fixed/patched? I enjoyed the game and sort of got used? to the input lag, but it sucked and was non-prrsejt when I played it on my friend's pro.

Oh I mean like, controller input. The first thing I noticed when I started playing was that I pressed forward and there was easily a half second delay.

I have a Pro but I think I know what you mean.

Pro has a performance and resolution mode. The first has an unlocked frame rate, the second is supposed to be locked at 30. When I tried resolution mode I almost threw up because of the lag/frame pacing or whatever. It just felt awful. I haven't tested it recently to see if they improved it, sorry.

I don't want to have to reinstall this beast and find out it's still a thing but it looks like may have to.

I noticed it really bad when playing THPS. Then I discovered that my TV has a "game mode" that reduced that input lag to zero. Worth checking to see if that is an option for you.

Weird. And like, no other game I've played on ps4 has it, so it is uniquely a bl3 thing for me.

It would appear that the input lag is gone!

I'm in chapter.14 as ProZD, I mean Fl4k, and I have no clue how I should be speccdd anymore. Last time I played it was "shoot things in head with shotgun, laugh as thing melts when I reload" build

Piggy backing on the above question, does having the DLC do anything to/for the leveling experience? I'm starting over with Moze

If you have DLC 1&2 you can start right at Sanctuary at level 13 and skip the early pandora stuff. The first Markus cutscene changes to fill you in a bit. Select new game and you’ll get a new menu for normal or DLC start. I picked Moxxi and while it starts you on that mission you can just bracket to the main quest and come back to it if you don’t want do the casino right at 13.

I just did that and it was incredibly good since that’s exactly where I stopped with my previous FL4K game. Im much happier with Moze FWIW, She’s definitely set up for simpler run-and-gun play style with the Mech as a good oh poo poo button.

Yeah this is how I feel as a level 8. Fl4k is cool, and I never don't want more ProZD in my life, but Moze feels very synced with what I want in a shooter: lots of shooting. Plus, granted I'm low level, but I don't feel like I have to loot guns around a specific build or anything glancing over the skill trees.

Hrm, I suppose I should decide whether or not I want the DLC since it's on sale on PS Store. Can't imagine it won't go back on sale though.

Here's a list of which missions gives heads and skins, if that's what you're looking for.

Otherwise, most side missions have a mini boss which drops some kind of legendary now. "The Homestead (Part 2)" in the Splinterlands gives you access to the Hellshock farm.

Awesome, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on skill points or gear slots or anything.

I'll probably come back and do these later then
