Is the Movies with Mikey guy the BL1 writer or BL2 writer?

Mikey Neumann wrote BL1, Burch joined the company and wrote BL2 with him. Tales was written by Burch and the Telltale writers, Pre-Sequel was Burch and the 2K Marin writers.

Neither Neumann nor Burch worked on Battleborn, so if you hated that game’s writing, I have bad news: BL3 is probably the same guys.

Last I heard Burch went to Rocket Jump with Freddie Wong, and then I stopped paying attention to him because he didn’t affect anything I played anymore. It’s possible he went to Riot afterwards.

I had not heard about the Telltale writers thing but that would be cool if true.

Borderlands 1 isn’t included in the $15 pack.

It’s still very possible they’ll go EGS even with the Steam updates and sales because a common argument for EGS is “it’s just another program I don’t see the big deeeeaaaalllll”

Steam will definitely not ban you for using Cheat Engine in a non-competitive co-op game.

It’s so bizarre. This game is a guaranteed money printer and they’re getting a wad of cash from Epic, but they won’t get the guy who’s willing to stoop low enough to reprise his role from Catherine.

Keeping score: both Rhys and Claptrap are recast for voice acting work. If they don't keep voice continuity they might break immersion and ruin the experience.

Well, Claptrap was recast because his old voice actor was Gearbox’s VP of Business Development, who left the studio and is apparently now on bad terms with Pitchford. He ominously tweeted “Yes, it’s true” during flashdrivegate, and was completely replaced in Borderlands 2 VR despite it being easier not to.

Hot take: Borderlands 2’s writing is worse than 1’s for a lot of reasons, but one of the biggest is that it went from “corporations all use enslaved prisoners to carry out dirty work and will abandon them to long, torturous deaths the second they’re unprofitable” to “actually it’s just this one CEO that’s a dick, kill him and capitalism will be fine again.”

Pirate Jet

I don’t think being persona non grata with the internet would make you unwanted by Gearbox, considering their CEO is Randy Pitchford.

I also haven’t heard of Anthony being anything more than just kind of a dumbass. In any case, his sister is way cooler than him and I’m glad she’s back.

Hot take incoming: I thought the Torgue DLC was thoroughly mediocre. Part of that might just be down to me being annoyed with how it scales (oops, you can't do tier 3 challenges on a first playthrough :byewhore:) though I liked the city map, since Borderlands has never really done that before.

I mean, Badassasaurus or whatever it’s called is definitely the worst boss in Borderlands history. I feel like people praise the Torgue DLC because it introduced the Torgue character while forgetting that everything else attached to it was dogshit.

The inverse, actually. There’s nobody left to pull the switch on putting Telltale games on sale so they’ve been pretty high ever since the company went over. It’s not gonna recommend you porn if you’re not looking at porn. I haven’t had a single porn game recommended to me on Steam because I have a web browser for that.

Besides, I’m still confused by people who actually use store recommendations and curator pages when the way I buy games is by hearing about them elsewhere on the internet, usually here, and then just typing them into the search bar. But indies do complain about that a lot, so maybe that’s just me falling out of touch.

The only protection they added to golden keys in the .ini file was making the file read-only and checking to see if it is when you launch the game. If you quite the game, uncheck read-only in the file properties, edit the number and save, recheck read-only, and then launch the game, you’re still good to go.

Borderlands 2 came out around the time I had my first job and could afford my own video games, and I remember my first instance of Pitchford lying to me was when he said they’d ban or erase the inventories of everyone who edited the .ini even though me at sixteen wasn’t stupid enough to not know that was technically impossible.

I do not know how it works in BL3.
