I went down the explosive tree for Moze. Currently level 11 and having a blast :v:

Hopefully it scales into late game well.

I found a Vladof launcher that had an under barrel that was just a fuckload of mortars.

Also found a COV heavy that was a flamethrower. While it seemed neat, it only did small bursts of fire and chewed through ammo like crazy. It did kill pretty much anything it hit though.

So far my favorite side quest is the Lord of the Rings based one. It includes a skull falling loudly down a well, a Balrog-ish boss, and the reward is a Torgue shotgun that shoots in a pattern like the Balrog's whip.

So I'm at 41 after finishing the game. Is there any way to get my undone sidequests to my level?

Slam is so loving useless, I have got exactly 0 slam kills. It is too situational and when you could use it the enemies just zip around you're better of just shooting them. If you could slam by just jumping up and then press the button it might have been better but you have to be on a slope for that to work so....

Only benefit I've found is that it counts as splash damage for Moze's Fire In The Skag Den. So I'll hit the slam button if I'm already jumping down to a dude, but I won't go out of my way to do it.

I had one of those with a good roll on my Moze.

I logged out with it equipped, logged back in the next day and it was a random green shield.

Ugh, annointed Militants just take the wind out of my sails in regards to playing the game.

Every other annointed I have a solid way to take them down. But the Militant's shield and immunity just sucks to get through.

While the story in TPS was lackluster and I hated the low-gravity gimmick, I would love to get to play more Athena.

Blocking a bunch of poo poo just to pump the damage up on the shield that you Captain-America-throw back at them was tons of fun.

I just plowed through the main quests while completing almost no sidequests and didn't really have a problem. Even while underleveled.

Don't be afraid to pitch that pretty blue or purple gun for a white if the numbers are better.

I have a hard time farming in Borderlands, which is funny because I'll run rifts for hours in Diablo 3.

I think it's just the load > kill > reload > repeat that kills it for me.

Floppychop

Last Moze build I did was basically grenades > Blood soaked shields.

Is there a build that lets her lean into the mech? Or is the scaling just not there for Mayhem?

Just go to the J-X terminal on Sanctuary, dude. You'll need a decent (but not huge) supply of eridium but you'll roll an anoint on a plain one fairly quickly in my experience. Usually isn't that hard to get what you're after fairly quickly if you farm bosses that drop eridium

I check that every time I'm in Sanctuary and it's almost always trash weapons with worse annointments for classes I don't play.

Specialist Bear: Increased the damage from +25% to +60%

I forgot how soul crushing farming bosses in the Borderlands series was. Holy poo poo.

I think it's just Borderlands style farming that ends up getting to me. The loop of load > kill boss > quit > reload gets old fast.

Trials are a good opportunity for rift-style farming, but it's a missed opportunity.

So I've realized that an Iron Bear centered Moze build isn't going to scale well into the higher Mayhems well. I respec'd into a blood-soaked shields with gun damage sort of build. Damage still seems not quite there. Do I just need better gear? Sadly the bulk of the new annointments are worthless on Moze, namely the ones that only work with an active action skill. I only noted the anointments that do anything in my list

Guns:
-OPQ
-NoPewPew: [Anointed] +150% rad damage when under 50% health
-Yellowcake

Frontloader Shield
Bloodletter class mod
Deathless artifact

Having 6 trees and being able to pick 2 gives way more build options than the past of 4 characters with 2-3 trees.
