If I'm playing true vault hunter with a view to leveling to max should I do all the missions, or roadrunner to the end and grind in some way in UVHM?

I heard she's good fun even still, but I'm not a fan of the multiplayer only tree. I guess it's still kind of a good idea but doesn't work to how I play. I think I'll group up for 3, it sounds like the systems address why I don't do that now.

Aurelia is pretty fragile when she's not one shotting everything. I'm dying a bunch more now that I'm near the end of the story.

I get that the game is ramping up the difficulty, but I just don't like fighting guardians. Not with a character that relies on accuracy anyway.

I'm a bit underleveled, so I'm especially dreading the final boss.

You could farm a current level Fatale? I think that works to a lot of Aurelia builds as a Cryo weapon with boosted crits.

UNLESS there are or have been other Vaults.

Well we will learn about "the first vault hunter" in BL3, presumably who found the Atlas vault. Plus I think a lot of the hunters value adventure, reputation and a better gun over money. I think Athena is the only one explicitly motivated by it (and was paid for finding it, rather than for what was inside) It may just be a lifestyle that suits deserters on the run, superhumans and freelance sociopaths.

What's the best kind of sniper rifle for Zero? I've used a bunch of Jacobs since the reduced damage never seemed with it on the Maliwan ones I found, maybe shock Hyperion is good? I just good a shock e-tech Vladof that seems cool but very easy to accidentally spend too much ammo on.

Hate their guns though, why would I want my SMG to fire slower whilst aiming? Actually can have some goodwill for Hyperion for their SMGs and shotguns.

If I understand right, there will no longer be Torgue barrels on Maliwan guns now? There will be a selection of parts for each gun type for each manufacturer, at least for regular drops if I have it right. Always seemed like an aesthetic crapshoot before.

Wow Hyperion guns are actually pretty fun on Salvador. After one kick at the start my fire rate and their inverse recoil property, with reload speed buffs minimizing "decay," means big damage right in my crosshairs. What I can't decide is whether to use pistols or shotguns. Somebody else got thoughts? Seems like 2x Hyperion Shotguns will Money Shot better with their just-right 10-round magazines, but pistol accuracy is better and they have a lot of other buffs available and the shotguns seem to reload a bit slowly.

I never found pistols that got me to switch but loved double Hyperion shotguns. Sal being able to extend magazines increases the benefit of the reverse recoil whatever you use.

Too bad the whole experience is worse. Is the Claptrap DLC as good as people seem to mention?

I'd say so, Nisha is fantastically designed to encourage the use of single-shot weapons with small magazines, creating a natural and fitting bias to Jacobs guns. Athena has a really fun playstyle with a gratifying payoff to building up any table.

Claptastic is terrific content for sure, though the final boss in ridiculous.

Finally decided to use a save editor during my UVHM play with Zer0, may as well spice up the sloggy bits with cool guns, plus it's interesting to look into. I found myself using a lvl 51 Hyperion slag pistol with bayonet into the high 50s with Zero, never found a good replacement so just leveled it up.

I think I should be able to start a boosted character and then edit it from the base game endgame to TVHM's and save myself a playthrough.

Can you hit level 80 just playing all the content, or would you need to level grind?

Interesting that not only are they building the new vault hunters more as characters more, but Moze and Zane are both set up as loners and specially uninterested in teaming up with anyone. Which would both be kind of cool but also undermine any kind of underdog story given how many heads of major companies are on the Raider's side. Also I don't know if this is a typo or what but Moze's "Matched Set" skill seems to give a flat +10 max ammo for each gun she has of the same manufacturer... This sounds extraordinarily silly and my only fear is that they'll nerf Jakobs firing rate to compensate.

Also I guess clicking that fast for that long could be physically painful.

I think it refers to Iron Bear's weapons since it mentions heat? Otherwise yeah that sounds nuts. Nisha could add 3 to magazines and it broke Luck Cannon and this seems better.

Also; extrapolating from this the initial level cap is 50 and action skills unlock at lvl 2.

Edit: Zane and his clone can add 8 to mags at level 3 so never mind!
