  Ever since that absolute raid, nay, massacre on Ulysses a few months back, many notable politicians in the region have been hearing regular pleas for public safety from their constituents. But security in these parts is hard to come by; what’s the point of opening the frontier if everyone is going to demand it be closed down as soon as possible? Roger Varney, the Mayor of Plains City, won’t have it. The city doesn’t have the budget for extra hands in the sheriff’s department, and Varney knows that the residents of his fine town can keep each other safe. They don’t need affluence to have security, right? Hopefully the public trial of Seth Dennison, the scoundrel thief who masterminded the Ulysses Massacre, will make it clear to everyone what occurs when you try to break the law so brazenly. That’ll keep ‘em quiet for a minute. Howdy, pardner! Prosecution in Plains City is a game of mafia for 16 players. It has some good roles, but it’s not role madness. Standard mafia rules apply. Lurker rules: Please be active in this game and try to post every irl day (barring events that take you away from being able to do so, of course). You must make 10 posts (that aren't just one-line shitposts or whatever) each game day. If you do not, the next day you will be freely executable by majority vote and your flip will not end the day. I will replace during days 1 or 2, but after that these rules will be the only way to get rid of a lurker. I reserve the right to administer these rules as I find most appropriate.

I will have everyone join a discord, which is what will be used for mod communication and any private docs (like a scumdoc). You don't have to download the discord desktop client if you don't want, though, you can use it in a web browser. I'll get the server set up closer to when this game is full.
