It's a shame because a kids group based around the outdoors and learning survival techniques, led by someone who is skilled in such things is a great idea. Thee's the socialization, learning new skills, and becoming comfortable outside. It sounds genuinely fun.

We did GSAR, which was ground search and rescue, when I was a kid in Civil Air Patrol. It was survival and direction finding as well as tracking beacons.

Definitely one of the best spots to see shows and the site of some of my favorite memories. I was never a hippie but my friends were and they introduced me to it.
