After I'm not sure just how many weeks of reading a few pages at a time, sometimes just scanning through posts, and occasionally getting in to reading the fine details of some posts I just have to say this: OH MY GOD I HAVE'NT SEEN ANY POSTS ABOUT BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP CO IN LIKE 100 PAGES OR SOME poo poo, ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS?> PLEASE TELL ME THEY'RE STILL IN BUSINESS I CAN'T LIVE WITH MYSELF IF THEY'RE NO LONGER SERVING DR PEPPER AND PEOPLE ARE JOKING ABOUT HOW THEY HAVE TO PEE!!!!

Hard rock and Planet Hollywood (once the casino opened). Of course fast food penetration is everywhere so I needn't mention the usual suspects.

I think Planet Hollywood closed up a few years back. The rock hard is still going though. Yelp reviews condemn PH. I think one of my friends worked there at one point. IIRC she hated it worse than Denny's. Which is saying something.

My guess would be that a lot of older black people might not mind being called "coloured" because that was the PC term to call black people back when they were younger, so it wasn't really irritating for them, so maybe they just kinda accept being called that because "meh, It ain't that bad. I've been called worse". Re: statues and whatnot, I see some people posting poo poo up on fakebook that are all "they didn't tear down the concentration camps in europe, so why are they tearing down (Statue of confederate guy)? Never forget or whatever". I see the point thats trying to be made, but at the same time the confederates are/were the "bad guys", so its kinda like, the statues of (general whoever the gently caress) are like having in Germany, statues of Goerring or Goebbels and Eichmann. They were the "bad guys", the opressors etc. The monuments that are still standing are to honor the oppressed not the oppressors.

My mom (silent) would usually get me abunch of crap for christmas that I wouldn't really need. Eventually I told her not to bother and just buy me poo poo like socks, underwear, soap, shampoo etc. Kid me hated getting underwear, socks and that kind of poo poo from all my older aunts and grandparents. Adult me says "hell yeah bring that poo poo on! More money I can spend on booze and poo poo if I don't have to buy soap, shampoo, conditioner and all that.
