Why can't I just put my poo poo in bags without "PLEASE PUT YOUR ITEM IN THE BAGGING AREA," "PLEASE REMOVE THE ITEM FROM THE BAGGING AREA," "AN ATTENDANT WILL BE WITH YOU SHORTLY *lockout screen*" for literally every single loving thing I do? Nowhere else I shop at has weights in the bagging area; only Kroger. Wait... you don't understand that the weight thing is so you don't put a sticker on a different product or sneak two items in simultaneously? OK BOOMER.

Those of you using password variants have Boomer brain. When one of your passwords get exposed, they are added to a rainbow table. There are simple algorithms that mutate passwords on rainbow tables and they are used to attack unencrypted password lists. Use a password manager with 2 factor or at least one good password. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2013/05/how-crackers-make-minced-meat-out-of-your-passwords/

It's so basic though. It isn't hard for the "hackers" to download encrypted password lists and attack them with rainbow tables of known lists, then hit them with common permutations. You only attack the neopets password leak to add more passwords and variants to your rainbow table/algo list.

She asked me what kind of computer to buy for fairly banal office work, and I recommended a Newegg prebuild that would've sufficed. She hemmed and hawed about it for like a week before finally buying the drat thing and loving it. It better have been more than five years ago that you recommended a small HD computer over anything with a big hunk of SSD.

Ya, like, this isn't the original spirit of the thread. It's turned old school SA E/N. I'm ok for now, but I want to get back to stereotyping the norm, not wallowing in our personal memories of abuse, of which, mine are not so bad. Trying to contribute. Boomers like complaining about masks "Taking away their rights." While they are old as gently caress and still working poorly in the factory making more money than the younger people, with medicare and social security, and a $2000/month pension waiting.

Gaj needs legal advice and to talk with a therapist. As said above, he is showing the symptoms that one might expect from someone in proximity to other damaged individuals. It's unclear if he's actually worried about these people or trying to get something out of them. In both cases, I don't think his reported actions are uniformly wise. Also, wrong thread. This is a different kind of depressing and frustrating that I signed up for when I got into this thread. Start a new one, Gaj, if you must continue this saga here.

The poll? Get Gaj out. It's nonsense E/N and also he has long exposed his own mental issues, so it deserves its' own thread, admission of fiction or mental health check. It was fun at first, but this thread is supposed to be about stereotyping boomers, not writing boomer father/son fiction.

Ok... I was taught how to boot games on a commodore 64 when I was 7. I had a 286 with 2 megs of RAM running DOS 5 and windows 3.0, I had a 2400 baud modem, that I eventually got to try the DOS version of AOL on. I had to configure my config.sys to put drivers into high memory so my games would load. At school we had Apple II's. Face it, you gen x losers had no unique experiences, save lying about being ritualistically abused by satanists.

You old freaks. This has morphed into the old man yelling at a cloud thread. Paper books are expensive and hard to handle one handed. Keeping licking your fingers and turning pages. Fill your house with books you'll never read again, it'll compliment your dvd collection. If you have trouble concentrating on e paper because it's not tangible enough, maybe you should have a doctor check your blood/lead levels.

There are? What, like archival? People still "rip" games and archive or distribute them, so that's not very important. Also, you would need a Blu ray to have a chance at storing modern big games, and almost no PC's have blu-ray.
