Robertson's safety and positional game absolutely fell apart in the final session yesterday, which allowed Higgins in to win despite making a number of errors himself. The final century clearance from Higgins was a really good break but apart from that he didn't do anything special it was just Robertson continually failing to score much more than 30 breaks before his position would fall apart due to losing control of the cue ball. His safety place was rancid too - Higgins only got in for that final century because Robertson dropped the cue ball between the blue and green/brown on a completely standard up and down safety shot.

Gilbert 4 frames up on Higgins and looking fairly steady. Higgins is not playing great. The way that final frame of the session went, Gilbert taking it on a decisive black after Higgins failed a fairly straightforward blue, could be the critical moment of the match giving Gilbert a shot at the upset...
