The cops, appropriately, seem to operate in a darwinistic framework where desire is important, but you'd better actuate your desires in an effective way because if you don't you have no future and you shall be killed and made into a zombie after your death. They are sort of accelerationists, at least right now. The main characters are right now full into self repression, even though they are harmed by it. Their reaction to the kappa zombies is basically a projection of their own fear and shame. A further irony is that so far they only succeed in the Kappa zombie fights because of the aggressive actions of the zombies themselves... It's not clear to me what the goals and roles of the Prince and the real Sara is. There's maybe some kind of reference to commercialism, from all the boxes, and the monetisation of the kids' desires. Though each of their desires are intangible, the kappa branded boxes make them into physical things. Perhaps they represent capitalism in general, or stuff like Facebook or Twitter. It doesn't seem like the 'leakage' effect of the Sarazanmai is actually an intentional consequence. Maybe the cops just represent the cops. I feel like now we have a mapping of the three main characters on to  Kazuki is 'no beginning', in that I think his issue is conflicting desires - so the purity of his desire to 'connect' is suspect. So, "I want to connect, but I want to [something else]". Enta is "no end", in that he suspects his desire to connect is inherently futile - "I want to connect, but it's not meant to be". Toi is more about the immediate distance, and so 'no connection' - "I Want to Connect, but You're So Far Away "

1. I'm fairly sure that Sara is herself... not that important. I think she's just another survivor from the Kappa kingdom, the Kappa princess. 2. 3, 4. I think we are done with Haruka 5. 6. Probably not important 7. I expect the show to drop some of the extraneous plot threads for the final arc to focus on the Boys - Cops - Otters dynamic, basically.

I don't know what the law is like in Japan. I'm supposing that he decided to come clean to the police about what happened, and got a lenient sentence due to extenuating circumstances - that he was acting in self defence, that the victims were gang members intent on doing harm to him and his brother, that he was a child in a stressful situation, that he was acting like that due to the influence of a corrupting adult and probably expressed remorse.
