Actually you’ll find you cannot define “military grade” so that automatically makes all guns cool and good, also please refer to them only by the correct name, “Rifle based on the Colt AR-15 design, lightweight, 5.56×45mm, magazine-fed, gas-operated semi-automatic rifle."

Anything else and you're just proving your vast, vast ignorance of firearms and thus invalidating any opinion you could've had ever in your life.

Furthermore before giving an opinion on the gun control debate, you must've had a minimum of 20 hours in a firing range with handguns, rifles and carbines, you must be able to discern between the many varieties of "America's Rifle" at a glance, hold a degree in ballistics and another in semantics. Any less and your opinions are as invalid as a toddler's. I bet all your knowledge comes from Call of Duty and Counterstrike and you have never felt the cool and sexy metal of a firearm in your life now if you’ll excuse me I have some Assault Rifles-15 to fellate.

You might think knowing that people use them to commit mass murder and also regular murder would enable you to form an opinion but you'd be wrong.

Having just searched for that image, I'm also surprised that so many people have tattoos of and cosplay as the Columbine shooters.

That's a tattoo I was not expecting to ever see.

I've heard theories that a lot of the insanity of the 70s is due to leaded gasoline literally giving a generation of people brain damage in the US. All the serial killers, cult poo poo, etc.

So what's going on now and causing all of this?

The internet and mass reach of social media makes it easier than ever to spread hatred and insane conspiracy theories, and since we've done absolutely zero in terms of gun control to curb access to firearms in America (or actually increased access to and proliferation of guns in many cases), our consequences are mass shootings as a regular part of American life. America owns.

Yup, it's really scary out there. I've seriously thought about having kids in the next couple years with my partner and we're both worried about the alt-right/conspiracy theory/incel/etc nonsense going around everywhere, along with the usual stuff like the economy and job market sucking hard and our planet slowly dying at a gradually increasing rate.

My memory is a little hazy but I believe I read testimony from an explosives specialist that the bombs they put together were extremely powerful and would have killed almost everyone straight away. Fortunately they weren’t good at wiring them

Its doubtful that two bbq-sized propane tanks would've done that much damage. There would be a few deaths right next to the exploding tanks, as well as a lot of very bad injuries from the debris, but that giant room had an entire wall that was glass. Most of the energy would be lost to that. The early reports about those bombs possibly collapsing the building were way off.
