Unless there's something fucky with stackoverflow, I don't see any responses of people smarter than me explaining poo poo that's a terrible idea, nor him doubling down on why he "has" to do it this way and not something more sane.

I'm not crazy familiar with ioshit cloud stuff, but I'm guessing that's what he's trying to do, but distinguishing devices by subdomain and port instead of a proper authentication system and/or API.

Clearly bog roll is the generic term, with loo spiral referring to the UK version, and loo counterspiral referring to the Australian version which is wound the opposite way because of the coriolis effect
